Show Fayette Matron Called by Death Mrs. Clara Jensen Mellor, a prominent prom-inent matron and church worker of Fayette, and who suffered a paralytic paraly-tic stroke at her home, succumbed to the malady Saturday evening rather unexpectedly. While her condition had been regarded as serious, hopes were held for a partial recovery, but a final fin-al stroke resulted in the untimely death. She was the wife of Albert C. Mellor and was 46 years of age when she was called to the great beyond. Clara Jensen Mellor was a native of Utah, and she was born at Huntington, Hun-tington, January 23, 1884. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Jen-son, Jen-son, pioneer residents of the state, . Following her marriage to Albert Mellor, the ceremony being performed at the Manti temple, December 26, 1900. the family took up its residence at. Fayette. Mrs. Mellor was a member mem-ber of the Mormon church and was active in the various auxiliary organisations.' or-ganisations.' . She was known to her hosts of friends for her kind devotion devo-tion to her family'and to her friends and neighbors. Besides the grief stricken husband, she irf survived by. the, following children: child-ren: .Clarence,' Golden, Lavell, Elvin, Amy,' all of '.Fayette; ' Mrs. ' Alphus Pierce and Mrs. Elray Foote'of Gunnison. Gun-nison. Her father, James M.' Jensen, five brothers, Lafe and Joe Jensen of Huntington, Alma Jensen of Levan, Willie Jensen of Canada, and a sister, Ina Jensen of Huntington, together j with' fiv? "'.'gtandchildren, are left as I survivors.' . Funeral services will be held this, Thursday, afternoon, at two o'clock,! from the Fayette meeting house. Bishop Geo. Bartholomew will be in charge. |
