Show Solemn Services For Mrs. Ed Watts Solemn and impressive funeral services over the remains of Mlrs. Margaret Langston Watts were held Monday morning at 8 o'clock at the school house, under the direction of George Morley. The choir was under ' the direction of Willard Barton and sang "Oh, My Father," "I Know That My Redeemer Redeem-er Lives," "Shall We Meet Beyond the River," and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Barton sang "Jesus, Lover of My Soul," with choir accompaniment. The speakers were President A. E. Park of the Gunnison stake, C. L. Despain and Carl E. Nielsen. A poem, "All Praise to God," written by Mrs. Watts, was read by Mrs. Ruel B. Nielsen. The invocation was offered by Chas. L. Thorpe and the benediction benedic-tion by Leni Olson. The funeral cortege went direct to the station and awaited the arrival of the train when the body was shipped ship-ped to Mississippi for burial. Three sons, Vardamon, who arrived ar-rived from the U. S. service stationed station-ed in California, Durwood and Ca-ton, Ca-ton, accompanied the body to the east. Mrs. Watts was the mother of nine boys, one preceding her to the grave, while eight survive. Four of the eight are at the present time in-the in-the sendee of their oountry stationed station-ed at different places, one only being be-ing able to arrive here for the services. ser-vices. All of Mr. Watts' children were in attendance at the funeral. |
