Show McBride Endorsed For Reappointment Reappointment of Brice McBride as water commissioner for the Sevier river, is being strongly urged in a resolution that was presented at the state engineer's office at Salt Lake last week. The resolution had affixed the signatures of 75 per cent of the presidents of the various irrigation and canal companies which derive their water from the Sevier system. Mr. McBride, during his term as co'.i-: co'.i-: missioner, has proven highly capah ? and his services have proven satisfactory, satis-factory, as is evidenced by the en- dorsements of the many heads of the companies. It was emphasized that the possibility possi-bility of a water shortage this year demands that the available supply be "measured, distributed and administered admin-istered with unusual care and effici-ciency," effici-ciency," and "the bes; interests of the water users of the river will be served by the appointment of a water wa-ter commissioner whose tenure of office of-fice is based solely upon competency and good behavior, thus avoiding the i annual procedure of selecting and educating an inexperienced man at I great inconvenience and additional ! expense." i |
