Cherry of Ml Pleasant and Mr. and Mrs. H. W Cherry of Gunnison motored to Richfield Rich-field last Sunday, returning Monday afternoon. Leslie Williams, who was recent 1; assigned to a mission to the Hawaiian islands, sailed for Honolulu on February Feb-ruary 11, according to word received by the parcels. Miss Barbara Ellen Brown, three weeks old, of Salina, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Daisy Brown, is a guest at the home of Grandfather and Giandmother II. A. Kearns this week R. C. Tollestrup, city marshal, expects ex-pects to leave shortly for the western part of the county where ho will be absent a week or more looking after his farming interests. During his absence James Baxter will act as peace guardian of the city. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Jensen, former residents of the valley, but who recently re-cently left for Grace, Idaho, to live, spent the major portion of this week here. Mrs. Jensen is the daughter of Mrs. Rosetta Pickett, and came down from Idaho to attend the funeral of her mother which was held last Saturday. Miss Bown will resume her tudies at the Wasatch academy. Miss Helen Carson, representing he Ellison-White Chautauqua sys-em, sys-em, of Fredrickton, New Brunswick, s in Gunnison this week in the interest inter-est of her company. Miss Carson is here for the purpose of enthusing the citizens on the importance of getting in on the Chautauqua circuit and it is more than likely the course will be supported and p'.aced here. M. H. Green, of the United States 'Grain corporation, with headquarters at Salt Lake City, spent last Saturday Satur-day in Gunnison on official business. He was the guest of N. L. Herman-sen Herman-sen of the Hermansen Roller Mills. Mr. Green is touring Southern Utah and making a general survey of the flour and wheat conditions. |
