Show CENTERFIELD ITEMS There is great activity among the farmers of Centerfield in preparation for sowing spring crops and it is predicted pre-dicted that the beet crop in particular particu-lar will be several times larger in acres planted than last year. Centerfield, abreast with the times of progression, sent nine representative representa-tive citizens to the county mass meeting meet-ing held at Manti last Wednesday. The delegates succeeded in getting a goodly promise for paved roads. The High school faculty of Gunnison Gunni-son held a social gathering with the patrons here last Friday evening. Not a great many were present. "How the prevailing conditions may be improved" im-proved" was discussed and a committee commit-tee comprising S. P. Jensen, Mrs. A. 10. Lund and Leo D. Bardslev wan appointed to formulate plans to perfect per-fect the same. George Peterson left last Saturday for San Francisco. In answer to a call to the effect that his son, Melvin, was I dangerously ill, resulting from a recent re-cent operation. Late advices from Mr. Peterson are to the effect that, his son is recovering and that they ; will return home soon. j Charles Nielson has returned from Salt Lake where he has been looking after business matters and visiting I ; with relat ives. Marinus Hansen accompanied Junius Jun-ius Enihley to Canada. Mr. Hansen wiil more than likely become Interested Inter-ested with Mr. Embley in the purchase pur-chase of the Fred Jensen farm near Alberta. F. II. Christensen of Jerome. Ida-bo.
