Show WASHINGTON SCHOOL NOTES (Vesta Pierce) Good work is being accomplished ir every department of the school, spe cial mention coming to notice this week from the department in art, un der instruction of Mr. Sorenson, anc that of the first grade, reading accomplishment ac-complishment taught by Miss Winie fred Parry. The grade last named also merited by having the highest average in attendance the past week, The girls of the grammer grade are taking exceptional interest in their sewing study, various pieces of usefuJ needlework being already in evidence. The fifth grade members gave their teacher, Miss Mary Bywater, a pleasant plea-sant surprise Thursday. The Star class offers the following program for the meeting to be held next Thursday evening: Song by quartette. Ketold story by Charlotte Parry. Piano selection by Laufan Christenson. Chris-tenson. Talk by Mr. Ferd Alder. Solo by Mr. Mont Harmon. Comic paper by Lillie Jensen. Piano duet by Etta Jepson and Glade Bown. . Humorous reading, Mr. Rasmussen. Solo by Miss Virginia Peterson. |
