Show LOCAL ECHOES. Four lamps put up the past week furnish light a stretch of one block helping Erick Rosenvall at bridge building. Among the visitors to conference at Salt Lake were Bishop E. L. Duggins and son motored to Salt Lake last SaturdayrTThey traded in their old Humpmobile and return ed the same day with a brand-new car of the same make. Austin Mayfleld is with us again after a few weeks spent at Salt Lake Edwards, E. Merkley, L. H. Chllds, H. A. Christenson, N. Gledhill, Dr. R. C. Swalberg and Fred N Swalberg. A full attendance of the members marked the season's closing Tuesday week of the T. E. Card club held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Over-felt. Over-felt. The prize winners were Mr. Mrs. J. L. Kearns, Mrs. Orson Lud-vigson, Lud-vigson, Mrs. John B. Jensen, Mrs. Ole Peterson, Mrs. Newman, Mrs. Will Jenseu of Centerfield, and Mrs, Truman Sorenson of Axtell. and Mrs. J.W.Jones and was their first laurels during the series. Mr. and Mrs. Ray B. Metcalf entertained at an evening theatre party and after-show refreshment at the confectionery the following: Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Knighton, and Dr. and Mrs. J. A. Hagan. Mrs. H. S. Handin arrived home Wednesday, after spending the greater great-er part of a year visiting with her sons one at Chicago another at Salt Lake. Mrs. Handin's extended visit was chiefly to recuperate. She returns much improved in health. During her absence she was privileged to visit the church headquarters at Independence. Indepen-dence. Mrs. Harold Christenson and Mrs. Alma M. Fredrickson jointly entertained enter-tained on Tuesday evening the following: fol-lowing: Miss Vera Keller, Miss lone Bardsley, Miss Dora Bywater, Miss Minerva Mace, Miss Ethel Hale, Miss Amy Cooper, Miss Jessie Peterson, and Miss Lucille Tuttle. Mrs. Willis Christensen gave a party Thursday afternoon, April 5, as a remembrance of the third birthday anniversary of her daughter, Margery Elaine. Adult guests were Mrs. Eugene Eu-gene Duggins, Mrs. Julius Duggins, Mrs. J. A. Hagan, Mrs. J. A. Salmon, Mrs. E. T. Christensen, Mrs. A. J. Christensen, Mrs. Albert McKenna, Mrs. Sylvester Pierce, and Mrs. Louisa Loui-sa Larson. Mrs. Fred Jensen entertained Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon at a birthday party in honor of her 4-year-old daughter! Genell, at the home of Mrs. S. E-Newman. E-Newman.
