Show Horse Drops Dead at Finish. Gravesend. N. Y. Frank Gill, a chestnut horse, fell dead, probably from the bursting of a blood vessel, after finishing second In the third race at Gravesend on Thursday. He was a heavily-played favorite atl to 2. He ran in second place ally the way. When Scoville, his rider, pulled trp on the lower turn he felt the horse giving way under him and jumped off just as Frank Gill dropped dead. Frank Gin was in the stud at a Kentucky Ken-tucky farm for a season and was brought east this year to race. |
