Show ell national political review by BONNIE WILSON green river high school graduate and student of political science university of utah president eisenhower Elsen hower has emph asizee high priority for his farm policy regulation it seems the re publicans are realizing not a mo ment too soon the inadequacy of th air previous farm program president eisenhower Elsen hower s name has been entered in several primaries throughout the eastern united states but has not announced definite plans for the elections later on this year all ali reports indicate that he is in good t balth and will continue to be if necessary precautions are taken several republican party leaders feel the president will be able to run again and others have voiced ions against his second nomination senate minority leader william knowland has been entered in sev arai era primaries and he stated that if the president should decide to run again he would have his full ort the brother of the late huey long ex governor of is back in politics again he became gov eidor of the aforementioned stats state in a recently held election most peo pie recall his brothers adminis tra tion as being tainted with just a doucia of fascist ideals in his case merely a means to an end the statement made by sec see of state dulles last week caused a fer voi the political world has not known for several years he has been crit by government leaders and newspapers from the far east to the daily worker in new york mr dulles stated that the united states had been on the verge of war sever al times since 1952 sec see dulles most assuredly introduced a new type of diplomacy during his term in office but I 1 certainly do not think his cies or actions justify the critic irn and redi cule recently dir acted his way however democrats are certain to file the episode away for later campaign use it has been reported in NEWS WEEK that however heated the con tio versy over the dulles incident will become sec see dulles is establish ed too firmly in washington and the question of mr eisenhower Elsen hower bowers s plans for the elections are of too much im for attention elsewhere according to reports recently re leased in sev several eral news magazines mr kruschek Kru hru and mr Bul ganin will pay a visit to west germany in late spring this does not meet entirely with the ap proal of kon rad adenauer but at this po point in nt I 1 it t seems impossible to say the least to change plans the U S government has decided that food will be placed in a food bank that will be used later on for emergency cases resulting from depression and a certain a mount will probably be used for for eign aid |
