', The chief development in the Utah mining stock market this week has been in London, where Boston Consolidated has sold up to $20.50. New York interests have bought in 50,000 shares in the Boston market, and there is no indication of cold feet on the part of the buyers. The signed statement of President Newhouse issued during the past week will do much to stiffen the back-tones back-tones of thej stockholders !whb have been tempted to sell by the rapid accumulation of profits. Locally two happenings have occurred which will be of great benefit to the stock market. mar-ket. One is the election of the American ticket 0 in Salt Lake City, and the other is the unwater- ing of the Ontario mine at Park City. Columbus Consolidated has been giving a continuous performance per-formance all week, and has more than held its own in the conconflict with the bears. Daly has made a phenomenal jump. The West Dip tunnel which is being driven under the great mines of Bingham to drain the camp and to tap the deeper ore bodies has progressed' for 1,100 feet, and is being steadily pushed ahead. President Presi-dent Samuel Newhouse of the Boston Consolidated Consoli-dated has issued a signed statement in which he says he is confident the company can earn an 8 per cent dividend on the shares at $100. The property is now producing 25 Otons per day of sulphide ore which will be increased to 750 tons as soon as the smelter is ready to receive it This ore alone will yield a profit of $150,000 a month when the smelter smel-ter goes into commission on May 1. The Fortuna lead mill is to be remodeled and used to treat the mass of low-grade ore that has been accumulating at the mine. PARK CITY. The Silver King Consolidated shaft is now in a body of gray quartz that shows abundant evidence evi-dence of mineralization, including deep copper stains. The Lucky Bill property is to be developed de-veloped by the extension of a drift from the Little Bell. The event of the week in camp was the tapping of the water which has flooded the On- 1 1 tar'io mine since March 27. On that date a series I HHB of caves blocked the drain tunnel and the man! il agement has been working continuously since in -j IHafl tunneling around the caved portions.
