H I H A rich strike was made this week in the Joenna (mine at Cherry Creek, Nev., value of free gold H running up to nearly $5000 per ton. Mines in this H old-time camp are being opened up and sensa-H sensa-H tional values reported from several claims close H to the town of Cherry Creek. H H A rich strike of gold ore was made this week B in the Victor property at Tintic and some of the H rock brought here by Manager McCune showed I free gold shot through the quartz. About 18 H inches covers the strike-and the ore assays about B $130 a ton on the face of drift in the 400-foot level. B The ore is similar to the best rock found in the . B Carisa and it is anticipated a rich body will soon B be opened up in the Victor. There is also a small B percentage of copper and about 0 ounces of silver B in the vein and its permanency is beyond doubt. fl B A company has been organized under the name B of the Annie Laurie Extension Mining company in B Gold Mountain district and incorporation papers B have been filed this week. The company will B incorporate for one million shares, one-quarter of B which will be placed in the treasury to be sold B for the development of the property. B There are twenty-one claims included in the B possessions of the corporation lying south and B southeast of the Annie Laurie claim. The officers B are: "W. F. Snyder, president; Floyd Weed, vice- fl president; A. "W. Russell, secretary and treasurer; fl I. E. Thurber, Angus J. Cannon, H. G.' Snyder and H James Long, Jr., directors. These mines are reported to have been worked by the Indians, in a very crude way, for centuries, and still show a vast amount of rich ore.
