Show i 1 s Y .' : - Tr't -'r. j ' i Y " Bryce Valley High School students Sarnie Pollock and Shanon Pollock were awarded the Mustangs Strive For Pride Award by Film Clarke and Lisa Pollock at the last home basketball game of the season two weeks ago. Students were given the award for excellence in academics, students government and extra-curricular activities. Mustangs Strive For Pride Award Given To BV Students TROPIC Fourteen students at Bryce Valley High School have been honored for their excellence in academics, school government, and extra-curricular activities. Students who have received the award are: Tarynn Piatt, Paul Shakespear, Triessa Ramsay, Eric Clarke, Ari-anne Ari-anne Barton, Cherlynn Twitchell, Daniel Thompson, Brit Twitchell, Bonnie Stewart, Chris Mitchell, Tari Feltner, Jeff Stock, Sarnie Pollock, and Shannon Pollock. Any student 9th - 12th grades who participated in athletics, student stu-dent government, cheerleading, drill team etc., who met the criteria for this award, was eligible to be selected. se-lected. The awards were given out at the beginning of each home basketball basket-ball game by an area businessman who has helped to sponsor this award. The criteria for this award was to have a 3.0 or above grade point average, excellent school citizenship, citizen-ship, outstanding performance and support of the group that the student stu-dent is involved with. The selection of the students was done by members of the faculty, fac-ulty, coaches, group advisors, and members of the Bryce Valley Business Busi-ness Association. The business sponsors who have supported this award are: Bryce Canyon Pines; Bryce Pioneer Village; Vil-lage; Bryce Photo; Bryce Point Bod and Breakfast; Bryce Valley Builders; Build-ers; Bryce Valley Inn; Doug's Place; Pizza PlaceCountry Mall; Ruby's Inn and the State Bank of Southern Utah. |
