" .-- . . ... i w - V. - a .-V i i - r i i r n "1 i i m in mmmd Mr. and Mrs. Verd Worthen Worthern Will Be Honored On Golden Wedding The children and grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. Verd Worthen will honor them with an open house to celebrate 50 years of marriage. Friends and relatives are invited to join in the celebration Saturday, Feb. 14 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Senior Citizen Center in the basement of the courthouse in Panguitch. The Worthens were married Jan. 20, 1937, in the St. George LDS Temple. He and his father, Scott Worthen, operated the Worthen Honey Company for 61 years. Worthen worked for Pearson and Crofts Sawmill and then for Kaibab Industries In-dustries for 18 years as a diesel mechanic. He and his wife were dance directors for the MIA for six years. Currently Faye Worthen is serving ser-ving as director of the Senior Citizen Center in Panguitch where Verd is a volunteer worker. The family has requested no gifts and invites everyone to take part in the golden wedding anniversary event. |
