Show Ivan Lyman Funeral services were held Monday, Apr. 30 for Ivan Lyman, 80, of Haines, Ore., formerly of Boulder, who passed away Apr. 25, 2001, at his home in Haines. He was born Jan. 10, 1921, in . Boulder, to Francis Marion and Hazel Mae Snow Lyman. Ivan married Dorothy Maud Nettleship, June 10, 1946, in .the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He served 25 years as a counselor in the Boulder Ward bishopric, five years as bishop, Sunday school presidency, and Young Mens president, was named Farmer of the Year, Conservation Rancher of the year, and served on the Boulder Farmstead Water Board, and Boulder Irrigation Water Board. Ivan was a Veteran of WWII where he served in the U.S. Army as a truck driver in Ie Shima next to Okinawa. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Haines, Ore.; children, Gladys (Dell) LeFevre, Boulder; Marilyn (Ned) Artz, Overton, Nev.; Arthur (Julee) Lyman, North Powder, Ore.; Mark (Mary) Lyman, Winchester, Ore.; Jack (Amy) Lyman, Santaquin; Ronald Lyman, Salt Lake City; Alice (David) Shaw, Forks, Wash.; 37 grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters, Edith Issacson, Salt Lake City; Opal (John "J.C.") Spencer, Springville; Loya (Glen) Gubler, St. George; brothers, Dale (Lillian) Lyman; Lincoln (Alice Ann) Lyman, both of Escalante. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Truman, Conrad, and Kirk Lyman; three . sisters, LaRue Wentworth, Olive Lyman, Yvonne Lyman. At the Boulder LDS Waid chapel, grandson Chad Lyman offered the family prayer. Bishop Keith Gailey presided over the services. Prelude and postlude music was provided by sister-in-law Naomi Brems. Grandson Keith LeFevre offered the invocation followed by a musical selection by grandchildren Terressa, Jackee, Tiffany, Jesse, Trista, and Jacob Lyman and Jenny and Justin Yates. A life sketch was presented by granddaughters Leslie Anderson, ,i, " ' t Y'v,;. a . i , , ; v ' I o I i Ivan Lyman Jolene Philips, Liberty Torgerson, Misty Stewart, and Lacey Lyman. Grandchildren Aruil, Anna, Fathima, Amelia, Gira, Seita, Ronald, Michael, Grishma, Ellayna, and Marina LeFevre performed a musical selection. Special memories were recalled by Ivan's children Jack Lyman, Gladys LeFevre, Ronald Lyman, Alice Shaw; Mark Lyman, Marilyn Artz, and Arthur Lyman. Grandchildren Karlie, Daisy, Joe, Ted and Henry Shaw offered another musical selection. Tributes were offered by son-in-law Dell LeFevre and brother-in-law Robert Brems. A final musical selection was presented by all of the grandchildren followed by closing remarks by Bishop Gailey and the benediction by grandson Shawn LeFevre. Pallbearers were sons Arthur Lyman, Mark Lyman, Jack Lyman, Ronald Lyman, Ned Artz, and Dave Shaw and grandsons Keith LeFevre, Shawn LeFevre, Jonathon LeFevre, Chad Lyman, Jared Lyman, Clint Lyman and Nolan Lyman.. Burial 'was in the Boulder Cemetery where grandson Jared Lyman dedicated the grave. Military Rites were by the Escalante American Legion Post 114. , Funeral directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield. Roland Be rnard Allen ALMA, N.M Roland Bernard Allen, 76, of Alma, N.M. passed away Sunday, Apr. 15, at his home. Roly was born Aug. 19, 1922, in Big Pine, Calif. He was the son of Hollis Allen and Delight Wright Allen. He married Betty Lou Cooper on Dec. 16, 1955, in Fredonia, Ariz. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a welder, mechanic and cattle rancher. He lived in Alma for the past 14 years. Prior to moving to Alma, he ranched in Panguitch, on the Kaibab and also at Wahweap near Lake Powell. Roly is survived by his stepmother, step-mother, Janet Cancell of Pomona, Calif.; his wife, Betty of Alma; two daughters: Cindy Jones and her husband, John of San Diego, Calif., and Vickie Burton and her husband Jim of Panguitch, Utah; one brother, Clarence Allen of Pasadena, Calif.; two sisters, Connie Con-nie Lefebre of Washington state and Peggy Atkinson of Mesa, Ariz.; two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Roly was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Frank Haycock. Hay-cock. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Bright Funeral Home and services were held in the Glenwood Park in Glenwood, N.M. A memorial service at the Panguitch Pan-guitch Cemetery will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2001 at 2 p.m. Maria Quinones Hotle LONGMONT, COLO. Maria Quinones Hotle, age 34, passed away Apr. 8, 2001 at her home in Longmont, Colo. She was born May 17, 1966 in Panguitch to Beverly and Manuel Quinones, Jr. She married R. Keith Hotle in May 1992. They later divorced. Maria was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints. She attended school in Wiesbaden, Germany, Del Valle, Tex., University of Texas at Austin and University of Colorado at Denver, Den-ver, where she obtained her degree in Psychology. She was very talented tal-ented in music and art and also loved astrology. Maria will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. She will always have a special place in our hearts. Maria is survived by her parents, par-ents, Manuel Quinones, Jr. of San Antonio, Tex. and Beverly Bryant of Ivins; brother Earl Quinones of Provo; sisters, Susie Gross (Todd) Hay of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; and Theresa Quinones of Hailey, Ida.; nephews, Tyler arid Brandon Hay; grandmothers, Afton Church King of Richfield; and Janie Quinones of Maria Hotle San Antonio, Tex. She was preceded in death by both grandfathers, Champ H. Church and Manuel D. Quinones and brother-in-law Christopher Gross. Graveside services will be Saturday, Sat-urday, May 5, 2001 at 1 p.m. at the Panguitch Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest by her grandpa i Church. Klint B. Woolsey LAYTON - Klint B. Woolsey, 72, passed away Apr. 28, 2001 after a courageous fight with a brain tumor. Klint was born Jan. 19, 1929 in Escalante, Utah to Earl and and LaVern Hardy Woolsey. He was the youngest of five children, Hardy Woolsey, Earlene Nelson, Marjorie Shurtz, Hal Woolsey and Haynes Woolsey. He married Margaret Pearl . LaFever, May 30, 1948. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together for 53 years, they loved and cherished their five children, Trudie (Brent) Hammer, Thomas (Gail) Woolsey, Tammy (Kirk) Black, Louise Love (Adams), Marie (Stewart) Barlow. Klint was a member of the Layton 9th Ward, where he served in many positions and developed lifetime friendships. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Air Force. He worked at Hill Air Force Base retiring after 38 years. Grandpa shared his love of the outdoors with his 26 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was f ) .... - ' i i V Mint B.
