Show Mary Willes Graff Mary Ruth Willes Graff, 71, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999 at the home of her daughter, daugh-ter, Nancy, in Salt Lake City, due to early stages of Alzheimer's. She had been living with Nancy and her family for four years. Mary was born Dec. 13, 1927 in Long Beach, Calif, to Violet Jane and William Merrill Willes. She grew up in Joseph, where she had many happy memories. She married Henderson Eugene Graff, Sept. 26, 1951 in Fredonia, Ariz. She was widowed on April 23, 1971, with eight children. Her children meant everything to her, and she always worked hard to give them the best she could provide. She was honored with the title of Mother of the Year in 1976, a title well deserved. The truest acts of unconditional love will always be remembered by her children who loved her more than anything else in this world. She enjoyed life, family, taking trips, butter cookies, walks, shopping shop-ping and fishing. She made everyone every-one she met feel important and loved them for who they are. She will be greatly, missed by her children: Mary (Danny) Betts, Nancy (Ray) Wyllie, Susan (Earl) Tracy, Sharon (Don) Gibson, Kathy (Dave) Crossman, Sam (Petra) Graff, Robert Graff, and Craig Graff, all of Salt Lake City; sister, Bonnie (Bill) Nelson of Cannon- ! i V I I 4 1 .A 1 : Mary Graff ville; brother, Max (Anna) Willes of St. George; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several sev-eral nieces, nephews; and sisters-in-law: Betty Willes, California, Shirley Shir-ley (Gil) Powell, Salt Lake City, Dorothy (Howard) Leavitt, Cannonville, Can-nonville, Sylvia (Monte) Luker, Escalante, Betty (Kent) Wintch, Tropic, and Mary Crosby, Kanab. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Harvey, three infant siblings; two sisters-in-law, Connie Major and Drucilla Reid. Graveside services and interment were held Tuesday, Mar. 2, in the Cannon.ville Cemetery. Funeral directors: Neal S. Ma-gleby Ma-gleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield. |
