Born Sept. 10, 1894, Panguitch, to Thomas Edward and Mary Ellen Eardley Riding. Married Alice Edith Stevens Oct. 8, 1919, Salt Lake City , she died July 12, 1923. Married Lucy Stevens Forman June 7, 1930, Salt Lake City; solemnized Salt Lake LDS Temple. Pipefitter, Kennecott Copper Corp., retired. Veteran WWI. Survivors: wife; son, daughters, Arthur J., Mrs. Dean L (Joan) Benson, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. D. L. (Emily) Riding, Draper; Mrs. Lowell V (Alice) Henrie, Panguitch; Mrs. Fred (Jean) Timmerman, Bountiful; 31 grandchildren; 39 greatgrandchildren. Funeral Tuesday 1 p.m., Fairmont LDS Ward Chapel. Kierstead Leo Jolley Kierstead, 53, Salt Lake City, died March 13, 1975, in a Salt Lake City hospital of complications following an auto-pedestrian accident. He was born Jaa 15, 1922, Monroe, to Morris Henry and Hazel jolley Kierstead. He married Lorna Jean Webb, Oct. 11, 1947, Ely, Nev. He was a member of the LDS Church; retired from the U.S. Air Force. Funeral services were held Saturday in the Panguitch South Ward chapel with Bishop Laurel L. Holman, officiating. Gam Kierstead offered the family prayer and Irene McEwen played prelude music. Don Isbell offered the invocation. Speakers were Lisle Brown, Vee Worthen and Bishop Holman. Music included a vocal duet by Lucille Green and Verda Tebbs; vocal solo, James M. Cooper and organ medley, Irene McEwen. Orlo K. McEwen offered the benediction. Burial was In the Panguitch City Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, with full military honors by the Panguitch American Legion. Lin Isbell offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Gam Webb, Bruce Parker, Wilson Kierstead, Gary Webb, Bill Kierstead and Dennis Parker. Fenton R. Cliideslcr Fenton Rollo Chides ter, 78, formerly of Richfield, died March 22, 1975, In a Santa Rosa, Calif., convalescient home after a long illness. He was born July 6, 1896, Panguitch, to John Foy and Almina Worthen Chidester. He married Patricia Bridge; divorced. He married Maxine Schumer, March 16, 1938, Creston, Wash.; divorced. He was a member of the LDS Church; veteran of World War I; retired carpenter, Survivors: son, Gary, Santa Rosa; two grandchildren; brothers, sisters, Denzil, Arnon, Mrs. Nina Ogden, all Richfield; ' Mrs. Thais Vreeland, West Los Angekes; Mrs. Louise Johnson, Emmet,. Ida. Funeral services were Tuesday in Santa Rosa, with additional services scheduled Thursday at 11 a.m. In the Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary chapel, Richfield where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be In the Richfield City Cemetery with military honors. |
