Show Funeral Services For Mrs. Alice Spencer Funeral services for Alice Spencer Haycock were held Feb. 29th In the Escalante South ward chapel with Bp. Lorell Munson conducting. Prayer in the home by Usher Spencer. Song "In the Garden", by Singing Mothers; Invocation, Andrew Spencer; talk, Lorenzo H. Griffin; song "My Mother's Love", Veda Mitch-ell and Verda Liston; talk, Pres. J. Clyde Spencer; song "Beyond the Sunset", by Singing Mothers; Benediction, Heber J. Allen; grave dedication by Bp. Lorell Munson. The services were well attended by local people as well as out of town friends and relatives. Mrs. Haycock, 74, died af her homo Feb. 24th of natural causes. She was born Oct 18, 1885 in Escalante to Joseph IL and Jane Ellen Haslam Spencer. On April 0, 1940 she married James Arthur Haycock in Escalante; it was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Survivors: husband; sons, daughters: Leo Rex, Lehi; Stanley, Spencer, Leone, Escalante; Garn, Tropic; Mrs. Nevin (Laura) Sheldon, Bountiful; Mrs. William (Isabella) Duncombe, SaltLakp City; 28 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sisters: Mrs. Myra King, Prrovo; Mrs. Annie Alvey, Escalante. |
