Show Ida Mae Thompson Dies Ida Mae Smith Thompson, 73, died in an Ogden hospital, Friday, Oct. 7th. She was born Jan. 21, 1S82 at Pahreah, Kane County to James E. and Elizabeth Smlthson Smith. In 1901 she married Edmund A. Thompson ln St. Anthony, .'Idaho. He died June 1945. A member of the LDS church, she worked In various organizations throughout her life. Avls-. Ulng block teacher In nellef Society at Doulder, she made her visits by horse back as the ' ranches were far apart. She lived in Doulder, Escal-ante, and in her later life she moved to Ogden. For a few years after the death of her husband she lived In Henrieville with her mother. Surviving are 5 sons and 2 daughters: Ira E., Buhl, Idaho; Lorls E., Washington Terrace; Earl S., Brtgham City; Dlllard S., and James C, Clearfield; Mrs. Velnja Hlchen, Hooper; Mrs. Dora Epps Riverside, Calif.; 49 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and two sisters: James E. Smith, Barton Smtth, Mrs, Margaret Barkfer, Mrs. Viola Francisco, Henrieville; half-sister, Mrs. Isabella Allen, Salt Lake. Funeral sg vices were held at Ogden Oct. 10th. On Oct. 12ih the following services were held In the Henrieville ward chapel under direction of Thor-ley Johnson. Frelude and 1'ostlude, Lavl-na Chynoweth; song, "Oh, My Father", cho!rs from Henrieville and Cannonvllle; Prayer, Kenneth Gouldlng Sr.; Talk, Doyle Moosman of Boulder; solo, "Going Home", Shana Gould, lng; Talk, Wallace Itoundy of Esculante; song, "Sometime We'irUnderstand"; choirs. Benediction was by Loren Twltchell of Cannonvllle. Burial was In the Escalante cemetery. |
