ORDER YOUR QUADRAFIRE PELLET STOVE TODAYI Before the Clean Air Act took effect, there were more than 500 wood stove manufacturers around the country. In 1985, almost all of them stopped making stoves rather than adapt to "the more stringent regulations. Most of those that remained turned to catalytic combustion as a solution. But the company now called Quadra-Fire chose instead to look at wood burning in an entirely new way. After nearly two years of research and development, founders Alan Trusler and Dan Henry developed and patented the Quadra-Bum system that bums and rebums gases and smoke up to four times. The technology set a new standard for clean, fuel-efficient heating with wood. And because it is non-catalytic, the system does not degrade in performance overtime. In fact, for the past 15 years, the EPAhas rated our wood stoves as the cleanest burning in the world. Whetherfueled by wood, gas, pellets orcom, each Quadra-Fire stove is designed with a mind toward efficiency and an eye toward beauty. We put great care into every product, using thick steel and design details that both enhance appearance and keep the stove looking new for many, many years. Efficient, reliable, easy-to-use, and environmentally friendly, QuadraFire is always the smart choice for alternative-energy home heating. BY PAT DIX LADY BOBCATS—CARDIAC KIDS? It seems as if we must now refer to the Panguitch Lady Bobcats Volleyball Team as the "Cardiac Kids." In the Tuesday, October 3rd game with highly ranked 2A South Sevier, the Lady Cats dropped the first 2 games and then came roaring back to win the next 3 in a row, the finale by a score of 15 to 4. The Lady Cats defense was brilliant, with key blocks turned in by Bobbie Burningham, Brittany Frandsen, and Tanielle Tebbs, while the back line tallied a record 80 digs. . It took a total team effort to overcome one of the top 2A teams in the State. After Friday's long return trip from supporting the boy's baseball team at Provo, the Lady Cats traveled to Bryce Valley to meet up with Coach Colleen Comp's greatly improved Lady Mustangs. And once again the . "Cardiac Kids" pulled out a 3 to 2 victory to remain in a tie for the Region's top spot. CATS ADVANCE TO SEMIS Senior southpaw, Brady. Barney's near perfect game on the mound against Tintic High school Monday, led the Cats into the State 1A semi final games for the fourth season in a row. In a contest shortened by the 10 to 0 score, Barney faced 16 batters, one over the maximum for a 5 inning perfect game. He allowed just one base runner on a lone single, walked none while fanning 8 as the Cats coasted to their 18th win of the season. He also Led the way with the bat, with a double, a single, and 2 runs scored. Cameron Leach added another hit to bring his State Record career total to 138 with at least 1 more game to play in his illustrious high school career. In inning number 2, Leach turned in the defensive play of the day as he ranged to his far left from his shortstop position to nab a hard hit ground ball headed for center field, and threw the runner out by a full step. Panguitch now tangles with Wayne in the semi final game at Provo's UVSC field on Friday October 6th "THERE IS NO JOY IN MUDVILLE" To paraphrase the closing line from the classic baseball poem Casey at the Bat, 'There is no joy in Panguitch, the beloved Bobcats have lost out." In Friday's State semi final game the Cats just could not solve the deliveries of the Badger's Porter Ellett, mustering only 1 run on 4 hits in the 10 to 1 loss. Cameron Leach ended his great high school career on a positive note, reaching base 3 times and rounded out his State High School Career Base hits record with his 139th hit. The Cat's other big bat, Tyler Pollock, reached base 2 out of 3 times and ended the season with a team high 5 home runs. Something positive can be taken away from this year's season. The Bobcats captured their 4th consecutive Region 15 title, and made it to the State Playoffs for the 6th year in a row. A SINCERE WELL DONE, GENTLEMEN!!!!!
