Drinking water is okay. ANTIMONY NEWS...* s«/v Monday, September 25th, eight curriculum specialists fromihe Utah State Office of Education visited Antimony Elementary School. They were beginning a tour of the high schools in Garfield School District and wanted to see a rural elementary school in action. The state specialists ate school lunch and observed in the classrooms for the afternoon. They were verv interested in ten small school setting and enjoyed their visit to Antimony. Antimony Elementary's 3rd and 4ih grade students attended a Native American workshop for two days in Tropic. They enjoyed learning about Utalis oast and making crafts. The were also treated to a performance of Native American dancing and NavajoTaco lunch. Natalie Porter accompanied the students to Tropic. The students that attended were Kaden Blood, Elizabeth Hall, Scott Jensen, Sky Lindgren, Jacob Lowe and Tishel Porter. The annual walk to school Day was held at Antimony Elementary on Tuesday, October 3rd. Parents were invited to walk with students and then breakfast was served to everyone. Judy Zobell attended her granddaughter, Natalie's bridal shower on Sept. 22. The wedding will take place in Phoenix, AZ on October 14. The missionaries were here in town on Wednesday and Thursday. They are Sister Holt from Alaska, and Sister Bartlonie from Vernal, Utah. Mona Rae and Leon Twitchell's visitors this week were Jerry Twitchell and his boys of Elsinore and Lawrence and TAylor and Stacie Twitchell of Cedar City, Utah. Kurtis, Susie, and Jamie Wittwer who bought the ranch of the Jolley brothers and Theron Coon ranch archere getting moved permanently into the houses. Sandy Daley has moved into her new house and it has been worth the wait as it is beautiful. The Antimony Relief Society will have their progressive dinner on October 11th. at the church. The Antimony Town Board meeting will be held on the 12th of October at 7 p.m. Make a point to come so that you will know what is happening in our little town. Several from here have permits to hunt in Colorado and I think several have permits locally. Piute H.S. Lady T-birds played their final home volleyballgame defeating Panguitch in 4 games. Lacie Gleave led the win with 14 kills and Heather Allen followed with 12 kills and 3 blocks. Antimony has one of Piute High Schools Cross Country girls in the top 5 runners. With the help of Olivia Lindren, this is Piutes first trophy of the year competing in Bryce Valleys Cross Country Meet. Come see what's new with New Frontiers.
