I had this material but sat just as long as 1 could endure so I saved this to start a new article. Audrey (Nay) Robinson (Circlevilie) passed away recently and as 1 usually only mention the passing of present or former Panguitch residents in the Knothole I failed to mention her passing until I learned that she is the sister of two well known Panguitchites, Junior Nay and Ophelia Cooper. For this oversight, I apologize. I now realize that Audrey has many relatives in Panguitch counting nieces, nephews, and once removed cousins. Mark Boshol, son of Evan and Ruth Boshel has received his Mission Call to the Italian Mission. He will enter the MTC on April 18th and following his training will depart for Milan, Italy. I am sure that all of us wish him the best in both his training and his Missionary work. Our I-ourth Ward Bishop, Bret Taylor and his wife, Lesa, recently returned from an extended vacation in Anchorage , Alaska and brought Bret's mother, Betty D. Taylor home with them to enjoy some of our Alaska type weather. I understand she will spend some time here now and in the future and will live in the A- Frame type home at 50 West. 100 South. 1 am sure she will enjoy the colorful scenery we have to offer but our'mountains will not make much of an impression. 1 have also been told that Chris and Maria Gilbert are back home. I havenT been able to talk to them so I don't know if they are to get the Cowboy Smokehouse ready for the coming tourist season. If our present weather holds up, this season may get an early start. Since mentioning Richard's and Ken's medical problems a week ago, I have since learned that another of Winona's and Harold's children, Lorraine (Davis) Henrie is recovering from a knee replacement. (1 received an e-mail from Lorraine wondering why she was left out.) A couple of weeks ago Lvalyn and I enjoyed having a daughter, grand daughter, and two great grand children spend a couple of days with us. Amber (Peterson) Brunjes and her two children, Bailey & Colby, received a Christmas present from her in-laws FEBRUARY 8.2007 THE GARFIFLD COUNTY INSIDKR of a round trip plane ticket from North Carolina to Las Vegas so that they could spend a few weeks with her parents. Pete and Beverly (Roe) Peterson in Panaca. Nevada. (I think one reason for the trip was so that Bailey could see snow. Beverly said she cried when she got up Christinas morning and there was no snow.) David and Olivia (Miller ) Wort hen have been home for a short visit with Vee Worthen and other relatives and I imaging they checked Olivia's folks home. Frank and Cecil Orion (Class of 1940) for cold weather damage. Merle Stowell is home after spending a two month vacation in Oregon. Oklahoma, and California. (She really gets around!) She left Cedar City last November 24th and Hew to Las Vegas then on to Portland, Oregon to attend the wedding of a grand daughter the following day. Sunday she left Portland along with her son, Donald, his wife and daughter, Toni & Sarah, and flew to Ldinond. Oklahoma to spend Christmas with Don and the rest of his family (Sean & family from Georgia & Caleb and wife from Boston.) Merle said they really had a full house but really enjoyed each others company and had a lot of fun. It was really a "Merry Christmas". After spend Christmas with Don and his children. She ilew to San Jose, California to spend some time with her daughter Janette (Jan) and her family. She returned to Las Vegas on the 27th of last month and drove her car back home. Merle said it is really wonderful to be back in Panguitch and find that everything had survived our extended cold spell in good shape. She appreciates having her brother. Jay Proctor, check on her home while she was missing our Winter weather I want to express my congratulations to the five young Eagle Scouts who were featured in last weeks Insider. I am quite sure this is a record for our Ward and for Panguitch. The most I ever had at one time during my 25 years as Scoutmaster was three and this was because I told my troop that I would take anyone who made Ragle to a National Jamboree in Idaho. I also congratulate our Drill Team for their First in Region and Second in State. I have had several people tell me that they should have received First in State also. It was like old times hearing John and Brian call the game with Escalanle last Friday. This time it ended like 1 wanted, but 1 still have the feeling that these two top notch teams will meet again at State. We soon found oui" ideas to cutertain her in mir kid-proof apartment wore out quickly. We had some things o drop off to the thrift store so decided to take her there. It was fun. She stayed in a shopping cart and we could push her along the rows of toys. When she reached for something, we handed it to her. let her play with it for a while and then went on to something else. We were so amazed to find that she knew her ABC's and were probably silly wanting to brag about her. Anyway, after a hour or so, for a few dollars we took her back to the our place with some old toys to add to our meager grandparent toy stash and she took home two that particularly hit her fancy.
