They visited Las Vegas, boarded a cruise ship to watch the gray whales, who make an 8,000 mile journey from the Bering Sea to Lowen, Calif, where mating occurs .and .the. young are born. 1 .They visited the San Diego Zoo then on to Sea World where the killer whales performed, then on to the Leon Country Safari, an African Wildlife reserve. They spent one night on the Queen Mary, in its408 rooms with its beautiful restaurants, novelty shops, dress shops, conference rooms, lounges and dance halls. They witnessed the severe drought and fires read about in the news. They were gone about ten days. Tuesday we had a special assembly in which most of the organizations of our school participated. Our special guest speaker was Representative Cary Peterson. He added alot to the great success of our assembly.
