The letter was misleading and may have caused you to believe that I did not genuinely plead guilty to two misdemeanor counts of misappropriation of public funds, or that I did not do those acts. I pled guilty to the charges for a number of reasons, but the first and foremost reason, because I am guilty of misappropriating public funds. Please accept my genuine and earnest apology, and I sincerely ask for your forgiveness in this matter. For those that have been impacted by my actions in any way, or if you feel the need to talk to me or ask me questions about my actions, please contact me at the county building or at my home. I intend to do everything I can to right these wrongs and if there is anything I can do to earn back your trust, please let me know. To begin doing so, I assure you that in the future, I will only use my personal vehicle for all county travel and ensure that any future mileage reimbursement requests will be done correctly. Again, please accept my sincere apology for my acts and for the misleading letter. Drew Sitterud Eastern Utah to assist the food bank.
