The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce has begun a statewide effort to locate one of the huge coal processing plants in Utah. The Department of interior of the United States Government will be in charge of placing and running three huge plants for the liquification of coal. Through this process, gasoline, fuel oil and other will be produced from coaL Each plant will cost in the neighborhood of 0100,000,000. ' If it wert possible to get onq of these plants located in Carbon County, it would mean the employment of another 8,000 miners and laborers in Carbon and Em ery counties. President William Maack of the Chamber of Commerce appointed a committee to make a quick and thorough investigation sparing no effort in presenting Utahs case to the government The committee named was: Dr. F.
