Show SEPTEMBER 23, 1986 L, schools County students graduate at BYU The Falcon Forum By CHAD McBRIDE Hello again from Clearfield High School. I really cant see all you people, but am sure you are the 1 most beautiful people in the world. Now that you know that 1 possess the amazing ability to flatter, you want to know if I can really write. ..right? After all thats why you sit down and religiously read this article every week. Well to tell you the truth this column is just a little harder than all the rest. The first two you dont expect very much, but this one is supposed to be a work of art. Well Im no Art Buckwald, but here goes. Im writing on Thursday and you read these things on Tuesday or Wednesday of the next week, so if it seems like I'm a week behind. ..I am. This past week our mighty Falcon football team did something that hadnt happened in five years. We beat Davis! Yes, thats right we popped the darts. Our team showed great promise in defeating the state ranked Davis team. With poise and power our team came through in all aspects of the game. We expect great things out of the team, even if some newspapers dont agree. Our Lady Falcons, not to be outdone were very impressive in both of their tournaments last week. The team took first in their own tournament and went undefeated at Highland to capture honors there. The volleyball team under our great new coach, Coach Mike Nemelka, deserves all the best. Also on the achievement board were wins by the golf team, girls tennis team and a strong showing by the cross country track team. Congratulations to those who participated. Finally, our new sophomore officers are: Steve Shaiffer, Tina Cypret and Angela Williams. Thanks to all the candidates and I hope to see them running again me you are all winners. Looking ahead, Friday brings us Layton at Layton for both the football and the volleyball team. Good luck to all of our athletes! Summing up, 1 hope you have enjoyed this new column and continue to take a few minutes and read it. Ill try to make it as entertaining to read as it is to write.
