La Strange Bales of 21 20 W. 1225 N., Layton, died Monday, Sept. 9, 1985 at the Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City of diabetes. ? SHE HAD lived in Layton since birth. Surviving are her parents of Layton; one sister, Shayna Lee Bales, also of Layton. ALSO SURVIVING are her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Clawson, Layton; Robert Aura, Colo.; Vera Cook, LaS-trang- VERGIE KAYE G. CLARK Puyallup, Wash.; her Virgie K. He died Dec. 2, 1976. officiating. WALTER EDGAR Surviving are his widow of Roy, one son, Lieutenant Commander Les I. Edgar, of the U.S. Navy, Alameda, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Walter Irvine Edgar, 63, formerly of Roy, recently of 56 Sunset Drive, Layton, died Friday, Sept. 6, 1985 at his home of cancer. Michael (Sherry E.) Hansen, HE WAS bom June 8, 1922 in Hall, Mont., the son of Mrs. Marcia Franzman, Philipsburg, Mont, and the recent Walter Roy Edgar. He spent most of his young life in Philipsburg, Mont. He and his family lived in Kaysville for several years prior to moving to Layton. ALSO SURVIVING are his mother, Mrs. Marcia Franzman, and a sister, Mrs. Harold (Maxine) Cc".dcis, both of Philipsburg, Mou, Walt requested no viewing or funeral services as he wanted his friends to remember him as he was before his illness. He married Laura D. Sorensen Nov. 25, 1948 in Philipsburg, Mont, and had 37 years together Santa Ana, Calif.; Mrs. Keith (Hortense) Olsen, Bountiful; John Stephen White and Mrs. Thomas R. (Olive) Lenox, both of Farming-ton- ; sisters Nora Skoubye, Salt Lake City; Ethel Evans of Tustin, Calif.; and Cecil Fisher, Ordervill-e- ; 9 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons Richard Karl White May 6, 1949 (U.S. Air Force) and Jay Leonard White April 21, 1985 as well as three sisters and a brother, Afton Mann, Jennie Carlson, Alice Mann Boss and Frank Mann. Vera Mann White, 92 died Sept. 12, 1985 in Bountiful of causes incident to age. FUNERAL services were Monday at the Farmington 4th Ward Chapel. Interment in Farmington City Cemetery under direction of Russon Brotherss Bountiful y. WALTER graduated from Granite County High School in Philipsburg, Mont, in 1940 and attended the University of Washington in Seattle, majoring in forestry. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War where he served with the U.S. Navy and retired from the U.S. Air Force at Patrick AFB, Fla. in 1965. He was stationed at Misawa AB Japan, Nagoya AB, Japan, Ramstein AB Germany, etc. where he and his leader. SURVIVORS include children, Mrs. W. T. She lived in Union for 21 years and in Layton for 43 years. Was educated in Davis County, a member of the LDS Church, member of Farmington Rose Club and Literary Club. Employed at 2nd J.C. Penney Co. in the nation located in Bountiful for five years. Worked for ZCMI for several years until 75 years of age, painted many lovely ceramics at Golden Years Senior Citizens Center. The Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma held their first meeting at the Red Flame Supper Club in Bountiful on Sept. 16. They had dinner, an initiation ceremony for new members and a musical program. The Rasmussen sisters, a vocal trio consisting of Elaine R. Taggert, Evelyn R. Scothern, and Shana R. Derbano performed for the members. Jackie Young was their accompanist. Bonny Gunnell was chairperson in charge of the entertainment. She was assisted by Torma Henderson, who also played the prelude music. Officers of the Kappa Chapter are as follows: Daphne S. Aller, president; Jeanne Shell, first vice president; Carolea Neilson, 2nd vice president; Barbara Manful!, s, great-grandparent- Vera M. White Kays, clubs Layton; and nine grandchildren. Kenneth Raymond (Ole) Hunt, 68, of 1330 W. 750 S., Clearfield, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 1985 at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City of complications following surgery. DAVID W. MOFFITT HE WAS born Feb. 22, 1917 in Ogden, a son of Raymond and Lizzie Lorena Hunt. He married Wanda Dixon on Oct. 5, 1936 in Ogden. David Moffitt services held HE HAD lived in the Ogden area all of his life. He attended the Ogden City Schools. HE WAS active in the Clearfield Senior Citizens Organization. He had worked as a switchman for the Denver Rio Grande Railroad. SURVIVING are his widow of Clearfield and four sons, Kenneth R. Hunt Jr., Morgan; Robert Hunt, Kim Hunt and Blair Hunt, all of Ogden; 12 grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Bill Hunt, River-dalBob Hunt, El Paso, Tex.; Janet Pearson, Roy; Sharon Hendry, Riverdale. HE WAS preceded in death by one brother.
