Elder Herman Blamires and wife Donna returned April 26 from serving in the Philippines Manila Mission. They spoke Sunday, April 28 at the Kaysville 2nd Ward. They will speak May 26 at the Kaysville t Ith Ward at p.m. in the Kaysville South Stake Center. Mr. and Mrs. EL Van Sanders accompanied their son Kemp Sanders and grandson Bart Sanders to St. George where they visited with Mrs. Sanders brother and sister-in-laMr. and Mrs. Howard Williams over the weekend. Mrs. Mary Scoffield was honored on her birthday anniversary Sunday, April 28 at her home by members of her family and other relavites. Dr. and Mrs. Terry Preece and children Jenekah and Brandon returned from a 10 day trip to Seattle, Wash, where Dr. Preece attended a dental convention and visited with former friends. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Allen spent a few days visiting with Blaine Egbert in Denver, Colo. Friends have received word that Neldon Christensen, a former Kaysville resident was sustained as a member of the bishopric in Hurricane. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Tice have returned from St. George where they spent the winter months. Before returning home they drove on to California to visit their son Craig and also visit with her brother. Mrs. Kathy Walker of Salt Lake City visited Thursday and Friday with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ward. Kathy is a member of the Education Team from the Credita-tioDept, of the State Office of Education in Salt Lake City that was in Kaysville on a business trip to the Vocational School. Mr. and Mrs. Ira J. Egbert attended the funeral service of Mrs. Nora Burton Peterson in North Ogden last week. She was the special guest of honor at the May Chamber luncheon held last Thursday at the Valley View Golf Course. SHERI IS a member of the Layton High Academic Olympiad Team. She received the Presidential Academic Fitness Award and a letter of commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Committee during her junior years. She was named Outstanding Chemistry and Spanish Student. Currently, Sheri is serving as President of the NaLayton High Chapter of the tional Honor Society.
