Kaysville News Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Trussel announce the birth of a baby daughter bom to them on Feb. 17 at the McKay-De- e Hospital weighing 7 lb. 13 oz, She was named Cara Lynn. She is their first child. The new mother is the former Lynn Orton of Kaysville. Mr. and Mrs. John Orton, Kaysville; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Trussel of Sunset are the grandparents. Mrs. Mary Timothy, Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Timothy and family attended the blessing and naming of Mary Tyler Timothy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Timothy held in Layton on Sunday. Following the meeting a family dinner was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Timothy for all the relatives. Its a son for Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Felt of Fruit Heights. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kempton, Mrs. Barbara Woodcock all of Ogden. To Compete In State Finals Miss JoAnn Jenson, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald D. Jensen of Layton, has been selected for competition in the 1983 Modern Miss State Finals to be held at the Four Seasons Motel and Convention Center in St. George at 7:30 p.m. on June 18. MODERN MISS has selected outstanding young women from all over the state to participate in the activities. The program is designed to recognize young women, 13 to 18, who excel in scholastic achievement and community involvement. Contestants are judged on poise, personality, grooming, and a speech or talent presentation, as well as scholastic and civic achievements. Entrants must have a B or better grade average and document at least ten hours volunteer service to a community or charitable organization. Layton High School journalism students under the direction of Instructor Bryan Gray contacted several hundred residents as part of random survey sponsored by the Layton Chamber of Commerce and the Davis News Journal.
