Show WEEKLY REFLEX-DAV- IS NEWS JOURNAL, JUNE 17, 1976 News (S Potluck For CC Womens Society The Layton Community Church Womens Society will have their annual June Potluck supper at the home of Mrs. Penn Williams, 564 Marva, Wednesday June 23rd at 6:00 p.m. A stork shower for Mrs. Frank Foster will be held after the supper. The new arrival is expected the middle of July. The Girls Guild are entertaining their fathers with a Father and Daughter banquet at an Ogden restaurant the evening of June 23rd. The Senior BYF group will go on a campout this weekend. They will leave the Church at 1:00 p.m. Friday and return Saturday afternoon. They will camp in Ogden Canyon near Causey Reservoir. A fun time is expected with tubing on the river one of the highlights. The Church family has had happy news from their adopted Laotian family. Mr. and Mrs. Singharaj and 2 children and Miss Siryan expect to leave the refugee camp in Nonghai, Thailand June 13th tor Bangkok. If all goes well Activity The Kaysville 9th LDS Ward Aaronic Priesthood and Young Womens organizations held their ward super activity at Lava Hot Springs on June 4, 5th and 6th. Fifty-eig- ht attended and enjoyed swimming, tubing, horseback riding, bicycling and golfing. THEY were accompanied by Bishop Rodney Felt and leaders in charge were Gary Garlick, Fern Heath and Renee Nelson, np released as a den mother, in the 6th ward, Sharon Treese sustained. The Primary organization in the 7th ward was reorganized Sunday. Released was Aleta Moore, president; Sandra Johnson, 1st counselor; Carol Hasler, 2nd counselor; and Mad Harper, they will leave Bangkok June 17th by plane for Salt Lake City. The family will need housing, furniture, linens, clothing and food for their larder when they arrive. The whole community is invited to this delicious, fun affair. U.S. Air Force Sergeant Charles D. Arnold, son of retired Air Force Senior Master Sergeant and Mrs. Charles D. Arnold of 1691 N. Hillfield Road, Layton, Utah, has arrived for duty at Misawa AB, Japan. The" sergeant is a 1970 graduate of Clovis (N.M.) High School. His wife, Retta, is the daughter of Melvin R. Heath of 190 N. Smith and his wife, Jean T. Smith, were both found guilty June 8, 1976, on each of three counts of willful failure to file 1971, Stonge Sheds and 1973 Federal income tax returns. The Smiths, now residing in Idaho, are former residents of Bountiful, Utah. 1972, & Sar-age-s JURY deliberated only 45 minutes before returning TH the guilty verdict. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Butt and their son Shane spent a few days at Lake Powell recently boating. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Rossiter of Casper, Wyo. have been visiting in the area. They are former residents of Sunset. Mr. and Mrs. Dan and sons Brett and Ryan returned this week after spending ten days in the Los Angeles Calif, area. They visited Disneyland, Lion Country Safari, Universal Studios and other points of interest in the area. The Jack Hobbs family spent four days camping and fishing in the East Canyon area last week. Mac-Farla- Mr. and Mrs. Walter Johnson and son Lanny and Mrs. Johnstons mother Elvira Harris of Hennifer has spent the past week in California. They visited Disneyland and other points of interest in the area. Columbus, Ohio where he will spend the summer months. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Timothy. Hill AFB To Host CAP Wing will host an an- Hill AFB nual summer encampment of the Utah Wing of the Civil Air Patrol, June 13-1- 9.
