THE MARRIAGE will take place in the Provo LDS Temple on December 29 with MR. AND MRS. JAMES PATTERSON Point couple will be observing their 70th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Dec. 5. Mr. and Mrs. Janies Ray Patterson of 3838 West 300 North West Point, have spent this lengthy time happily A West together. THEY ARE currently enjoying the winter months in Mesa, Ariz. where they have been for the past seven winters. James Ray Patterson was born February 2, 1886 in Summitt, (now known as Clinton). Mr. Patterson has engaged in farming all of his life. He has also served as field superintendent for the Layton Sugar Factory, and also Smiths Canning Factory. HE HAS been an officer in the Davis-Web- Irrigation Company, and for many years enjoyed traveling along with baseball teams in the area, serving as their umpire, and assisting in many ways during their games. Both Mr. and Mrs. Patterson are active members of the West Point First LDS Ward, MRS. PATTERSON was the former Elizabeth Dalton, and was born May 24, 1888, in Kanesville (now the Roy area) in Weber County. She has been a Relief Society visiting teacher in her ward, and has taught in numerous organizations in the LDS church. H. Patterson and his wife Eloise, who are in Mesa, also. AND and son-in-la- w daughter, Mr. and Mrs. David E. Miller of Salt Lake City, plan to spend the Christmas holidays with them in the warm Arizona city. Their marriage ceremony was performed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 5, 1906. They have resided in West Point their entire married life. THEY ARE the parents of three sons and one daughter; Leland Ray Patterson and Floyd Patterson of West Point; James H, Patterson of Brigham City and Mrs. David E. (Mabel) Miller of Salt Oklahoma.
