With the support of the community, the program is again expected to reach out and make Christmas this year a little better for the children of those inmates housed in the Dais County jail. "The Angel Tree program is an opportunity for people to help others Tight in their own community" said Lt. Dan Horton, who oversees inmate programs at the county jail. ; "These children live in our community. go to our schools, they are right here li ing in our midst. How can people help? "We need 'those willing to purchase a gift for a child, or donate wrapping paper, .bows, ribbons and tape, says Darleen Thompson, member of the Da is County Jail Citizens' Advisory committee. "Those who can't afford to buy a present could perhaps afford ' to buy a roll of papier or some tape. Eerv donation helps. She will serve in that capacity there through the end of the year and then move to the Golden Years Center in Bountiful. Hailing has many years of experience working with senior citizens. She will continue her dual capacity as nutrition director, overseeing food service for all three centers, as well as providing nutrition counseling.
