McFarland fol- lows: 1 Brian James McFarland died April 16. 1997. He was born July 7, 1985 in Goa, India to Maryanne Lupo and David McFarland. Brian loved drawing cartoons, acting, rock collecting, gymnastics on the trampo- line and swimming. He loved to tell corny jokes and to read scary books. He w as a great buddy to his brother. Sean; always gave treats to his sister, Annie. B J 's and happiness will be missed by all who know him. He is survived by parents, sisters and brothers, Sheena. Sean, Annie and Sami; and a large family of cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Memorial services will be held a.m. at the Saturday, April 19, 1997 at 1825 N.. Mary Jo Skewes BOUNTIFUL Mary Josephine Armington Skewes. 75. died in Bountiful April 15 of Alzheimer's disease. She was the loving wife of John B. Skewes, married Feb. in 1948 28, Sewickley, PA, and the mother of Jack; both of Charles, Ann Duchesne; Evans, Sacramento, Calif.; Bob (who was killed in Vietnam in 1971); Nancy Stensrud. Murray; and Bill of Sacramento, Calif.; she is also survived by her sister, Carol Coffrolh; 12 grandchildren and one She was born Sept. 21. 1921 in Ambridge, Pennsylvania to John Roy and Beulah Dodge Armington. She was a graduate of Hood College in Frederick, Maryland with a B.S. in dietetics, and was a registered dietitian. A resident of Bountiful for 40 years. she was an active member of Bountiful Community Church. For over 25 years she was actively involved in foreign student programs, including American Field Service (AFS) and VISIT, and as a result is survived by numerous foreign "sons and daughters" from Brazil, Ethiopia. India, Taiwan and Libya. She was also active in UNICEF and was a member of the Utah chapter of the United Nations. Funeral services will be Friday, April 18. p.m. at Bountiful Community Church. 100 North 400 East, with Minister Reverend Alan Kelchner officiating. ELECTION NOTICE To all qualified electors of the Davis County School District, Davis County, Utah: Take notice that on the 6th day of May, 1997, a special bond election and special voted leeway election will be held in the Davis County School District, Davis County, Utah (the "District"), at the places set out below for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of the District the propositions contained in the following sample ballot: OFFICIAL SAMPLE BALLOT FOR DAVIS COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT, DAMS COUNTY, UTAH SPECIAL BOND AND VOTED LEEWAY ELECTION MAY 6, 1997 Bruce D. Williams Business Administrator PROPOSITION A Shall the Board of Education of Davis County School District, Davis my, Utah (the "District"), be authorized to issue general obligation million dollars bonds in an amount not to exceed seventy-fiv- e ($75,000,000) (the "Bonds") for the purpose of defraying all or a portion of the costs of new school construction, land acquisition, equipment acquisition, and renovation and improvement of existing school facilities, and for payment of expenses reasonably incurred in connection with the acquisition and construction of said improvements and the authorization and issuance of the Bonds; said Bonds to be due and payable in not to exceed fifteen (15) years from the date of the Bonds; and such additional amount as may be necessary to provide moneys for the refunding of all or part of the Bonds authorized hereunder at or prior to maturity thereof, including costs of issuance of such additional Bonds? The Absentee Voter may make application in the manner and time provided by law, either by mail or Fax or in person at the office of the Business Administrator of the District at 45 East State Street in Farmington. Utah. The Business Administrator may deliver the absentee ballot by mail or in person to one who personally applies. A "hospitalized voter", as that term is defined by state statute, may arrange for some other person to obtain absentee ballot material from the Business Administrator by complying with the procedures and requirements of pertinent state statutes. NOTICE is further given that on May 13, 1997, that being a day not later than ten (10) days after the Election, the Board will meet at its regular meeting place at 45 East State Street, Farmington, Utah at 5:30 p.m. to canvass the returns and declare the results of the Election. Pursuant to applicable provisions of the Utah Municipal Bond Act, the period allowed for any contest of the Election on the Bonds shall end forty (40) days after May 13, 1997 (the date on which the returns of the election are to be canvassed and the results thereof declared).
