Show Sporfstacular P9 Thursday, November i , 1 979 Weber High, led by the talented running of Julie Jenkins, Camile Davis and Christine Davis completely dominated the field in the 1979 Region One Womens Cross Country Championships held at Weber State College last week. On the mens side of the coin, Bonneville claimed their second consecutive Region One title with a strong showing at Weber State. Julie, Camile and Christine have all been involved in AAU competition for some years. Their participation in AAU began to pay off last week with the region title coming their way. All three Warriors are only freshmen, which brightens the face of first year cross country mentor, Dennis Reyburn. These girls, all the girls on the team, never stop giving 100 per cent. Its a thrill just to come and see them compete against each, let alone other teams, said Coach Reyburn. Weber High swept first-placin the womens meet by adding up 28 points. Second place Layton had 41 and Clearfield finished with 70. In one of the closest races that Jenkins and Davis have ever ran in, Jenkins finally came out on top. Julie finished with a time of 19:07 while Camile was just seconds off at 19:09.
