Show THE CITIZEN 14 Revue De La Ville 9 RECEPTION was given Thursday evening at the Soldiers club on E. South Temple street by the Catholic Womans league in honor of the Rev. J. M. Torsney, new rector of the Cathedral of the Madeleine. A musical program was rendered under the direction of Mrs. Lydia White Booth-by- , and the following had charge of arrangements: Mrs. J. J. Harvey, chairman; Mesdames F. J. Westcott, M. J. Dailey, M. J. McGill, J. C. Dwyer, R. Farnsworth, R. R. Rupert, W. J. Thompson, George H. Watson, Victor Youngberg, Thomas Ramage, H. C. Thompson and M. H. Aldenhagen and Miss Margaret Gibbons. A was Wednesday evening at a supper dance given at the McCornick home on Center street in honor of Mrs. J. Frank Judge of San Francisco, who during her stay in Salt Lake with her sister, Mrs. Frederick Cowans, has been the motif for various social affairs. Powers is also in San Francisco, as is Mrs. Richard Allen Keyes, who has spent the last six months in California. Mrs. Sherman Armstrong and little son are passing a few weeks in the coast city. Eva Andrew took place Wednesday morning in the Salt Lake temple, and in the evening a large reception was given in honor of the couple at the home of the bridegrooms parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Reid, on W North Temple street. The bride, who was unattended, wore a wedding gown of white beaded georgette crepe and carried a shower of brides roses. Assisting in receiving were Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Andrew, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Reid, Mrs. Ada Felts and Mrs. Ora Hess. Miss Mau-lett- e Cummings presided in the dining room, and was assisted by Misses . Walson (Miss Miller), accompanied by her two children, Billy and Betty, are leaving this week for New York, whence they will sail for Antwerp, and will join Major Walson in Germany, where he has been stationed for some time. Mrs. Walson is the second young army matron to join her husband while on overseas duty. Mrs. George Brodie (Miss Adelaide Woodruff) having sailed last week from New York to meet Lieutenant Brodie in France. MRS. W. k.
