Second-Thir- Sea mo ns Charles Russ Layne, 75, died Sunday at a Franklin County hospital. He was born July 14. 1899, in Lewiston, a son of Israel and Johanna Kent Layne. He married Louise Gessel in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Funeral services for Howard Lorin Seamons, 69. were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Hyde Park Ward chapel under the direction of Bishop Jack Nixon. Mr. Seamons was born June 5. 1905, in Thatcher. Idaho, a son of Henry H. and Maria Bennett Seamons. He came to Hyde Park at an early ace with his parents, and except for five years in Glencoe. Idaho, he had spent his life in Hyde Park. He worked for many years for the Forest Service and also had worked on construction. He was an Elder in the Cache North Stake and a member of the Hyde Park Second Ward. He was a member of the Hyde Park Lions Club for 10 years. Penneys. Sears and the Budge Clinic. At the time of her death she was with First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Logan. Ogden. At the time of his death he was a High Priest in the Richmond Utah Stake. He was a member of the Temple Fork Camp of the Sons of Utah Pioneers, had been secretary of the High Priest Quorum for 14 years, superintendent of the Sunday and this union was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. He is survived by his widow of Hvde Park; two daughters, Mrs. Neal (Dorothy) Butterfield of Alaska, and Mrs. Ronald (Marlyn) Pace of Ogden. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters. Melvin of St. Anthony. Idaho; Delbert. Mink Creek, Idaho: Weldon. Caldwell, Idaho: Homer and Mrs. Ver-d- a Balls of Hyde Park; Mrs. McDer-mai- Mrs. Christiansen was born Oct. 7. 1930. in Spanish Fork, a daughter of Floyd and Violet Schoenfield Ludlow. She was graduated from Spanish Fork High School, and had been employed by fulfilled two LDS missions, one to New Zealand in 1921. He and his wife were called to serve in the Western States mission in 1968. Throughout his life he had been a farmer and for 18 years had worked at the U. S. General Defense Depot at On Dec. 5. 1931, he married Edith Wester berg in Logan, George (Rhoda) The family met friends at Hall Mortuary Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to the funeral. Burial was in the Providence City Cemetery with dedication of the grave by Dan Ludlow. Nov. 25. 1925. He had attended public schools in Lewiston and had School member of the LDS Church, she had been Primary chorister for eight years, and a teacher in the various auxiliaries. A and sports director Mr. Christiansen was born for Benson Stake, president of the choir and received numerous home beautification awards. Surviving are his widow of Lewiston and the following children. Brandt R. Layne, Ogden; Rex G. Layne. Salt Lake City; Lt. Col. David T. Layne, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Jerry A. Layne. Smithfield; Allan Preston Layne, Downey, Claif.; Mrs. Gene (Tam-ra- ) Austin. Weston, Idaho; 24 grandchildren and five a sister. Mrs. Orval (Laura) Harris. Fairview, Idaho. At the time of his death, he was affiliated with Aloma Real Estate in Logan. Prior to that he was with Sears for 25 years, and had held the position of assistant manager of the Logan store.
