Notwithstanding the fact that a great wail was sent up last spring that "the entire peach crop was destroyed" by the frost, a very satisfactory crop is being gathered in all parts of town. Of course the yield will not compare with the unusual amount raised last year, but it is not unusually light by any means. Quantities of earl' peaches have been shipped away and consumed at home. The later varieties are now ripening ripen-ing in large quantities. This , season's peach crop was not a fail-j fail-j ure by a long way. |
