A. Box, F. ( I.Xiclsou and C. llolst.to which was attached a list of names, petitioning the Council to expend the means for which the city had been bonded bond-ed to construct a reservoir and defer the water works, was read and referred to committee on water works. The question relative to water works was discussed, as to which would be the better method to pursue, pur-sue, to ha vp the system put in by j contract to lowest bidder, or to en-j en-j gige a competent engineer and supt. and have system constructed under direction of the Council. All favored the latter plan. Councilman Council-man Snow then moved that it be adopted. Unanimously carried. Mayor Jensen reported that he hail conferred with the people of Three Mile creek, relative to obtaining ob-taining water from Mathias and FvanJs canyons in exchange for water from Box Flder creek. Had met with success and report was accepted. Watermastcr Geo. Davis of Three Mile Creek presented a proposition prop-osition from the people of that district for the exchange of water. Referred to committee on water works, who were emp w( red to take decisive action. Salary of the nightwatchman was advanced. City street Supprvisor Johnson's 1 resignation accepted. The committee on water works presented the answer to the resolutions reso-lutions and petition of K. A. Box Mid others. It was accepted and on motion of Councilman Christensen. was ordered published in Tin-: lb ol. Kit. This report appears in full in another column. Council adjourned. |
