Ripley made Believe it or not a common expression. By this he indicated that whether the readers doubted the information in his cartoons made no difference; the facts were true whether they believed him or not. The Bible contains information of far greater importance than Ripleys curious facts. You may believe this information or not, but your doubts dont change the facts. For example, Jesus Christ is He that quoted as stating, believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:16) You may doubt this, but it is true anyway. Destiny is determined on a believe-it-or-nbasis. This is not a truth based on isolated fragments, but is reiterated again and again in the Word of, God. Salvation is by faith.
