Perry Pulse by Mrs. Max Nelson The town park is under going a renovation this summer through funds from an n assistance grant. So far the community has received better than $7,500. This will see a new lighting system with eight metal poles and each will hold IS lights. Another feature of the park improvement will be moving the present backstop on the ball diamond forward for a better advantage of the new lights. Yet to come will be a set of new bleachers and several new picnic tables. With the new lights and facilities at the park, this summer will see an increase in its use. Already several ball leagues have reserved the park for their tournaments, along with the many local teams for their practice time. The park schedule is filling up very fast. Just a reminder if a family reunion, group party, etc., are being planned for this summer you should contact city council- man Rex Osmond to reserve the park. This is really necessary with the park so much in demand this year. Turn Off Lights As our park sees these new improvements and its use is increased another reminder is being given that all those who use the lights, that they must be turned off after using them, if they are not this group will not be permitted to use them next time.1 Now that the town is getting facilities that they can be proud to use, we must all work together to keep it clean and help in preventing vandalism, a spokesman stated.
