Show Portage Pennings S Funeral services held for former Teamster by Maude R. Harris Funeral services held Thursday in Salt Lake City for EiVoid Hoskins, 58. He was born April 15, 1919 in Thatcher, Ariz., to David M. and Elva Morris Hoskins. Later the family I f moved to Portage where he was raised. He married Edith Dicks in 1942 in Malad. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They moved to Salt Lake City where he was with the Teamsters for 23 years. Mr. Hoskins is survived by his widow; three sons, Gerald, Kent and Gordon, all of Salt Lake City; eight grandchildren and four brothers, Marion, Arden, Ivan and DeLoy. Among those who attended the viewing at Memorial Estates were Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Hoskins, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Estep of Plymouth, Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Hoskins, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Morris, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Thomas and Mrs. Laura K. Gibbs. Onetta Howell and Loris Allen were among those who attended a dinner party at the Maddox Ranch House Thursday evening with the Bear River Valley Ladies Bowling League. Mrs. Howell was presented with a trophy-22High Game Scratch. Mrs. Allen will act as vice president of the league for the coming year. Vina (Conley) McCormick of Boise and her son and daughter-in-laMr. and Mrs. Gene Steffen of American Fork visited with Mr. and Mrs. John F. Conley and Mr. and Mrs. Wendell C. Hall and others Saturday. Arthur L. Gibbs spent last week in Wendell, Idaho visiting 3 there. with his brother and sister-in-laMr. and Mrs. EiVoid Gibbs. Vodis Ward of Idaho Falls and Dr. Max Conley of Bountiful visited with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Conley, for several days during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Devere Harris and daughter Lori attended the Malad Stake Debutante Ball Friday evening. Lori was the debutantes and danced the traditional waltz with her father. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Merrill were overight guests of Mr. and Mrs. David P. Gibbs Wednesday enroute to their home in Spring Social Held Ora K. Hoskins was among guests Friday at a Spring Idaho Falls after spending the winter months in Mesa Ariz. They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Glen Morris and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Morris. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Archibald of Boise and Miss Beth Archibald of Pocatello visited Saturday with their grandmother, Mrs. Esther John. Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Hoskins visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jessop of Logan Sunday. Brunch hosted by the Federal Womens program committee of the Ogden Post Office. The Brunch was held in the Mansion n House in Ogden. Dorothy was the speaker. Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Hoskins also visted with their son and daughter-in-law- , Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hoskins and son Todd. Mr. and Mrs. Deward John and son Douglas of Blackfoot attended Sunday school and Sacrament meeting here Sunday and were dinner guests of Dewards mother, Mrs. Esther John. They also visited with other relatives here before returning to their home that evening. Mrs. Virgil Harris spent Thursday and Friday with her Mr. son and daughter-in-law- , and Mrs. Phil R. Harris and family at their home in Salt Lake City. The Harris have a new baby daughter. Mrs. Harris was accompanied by Mrs. Lee D. Fuhriman of Tremonton who visited with her daughter, Mrs. Cheryl Giles and children. The children, Jodee and Ryan, returned with their grandmother for a few days visit. Mr. and Mrs. Miller Follis and sons, Robert and George, joined Mr. and Mrs. Everett Bryant and daughters of Salt Lake City at Lava Hot Springs Sunday and enjoyed the day Mor-tense- Stake Conference Elder and Mrs. Devere Harris attended Stake conference meetings at Declo, Idaho Saturday and Sunday where Harris presided. Harris presented eight major talks and his wife Velda presented three during the weekend including Youth meeting. Junior Sunday School and the general sessions of Stake conference. They were overnight and Sunday dinner guests of Stake President and Mrs. Joseph Gillette of Declo. Sunday afternoon Harris held a meeting with the regional Stake president. That evening he and his wife were guest speakers at a Fireside at the home of Gene Hansen of Paul, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Tim Williams were among those who attended a wedding ceremony for Mrs. Williams brother, Curtiss Wise and Laurie Estep in the Tre HMd monton Stake Center Friday evening. Following the ceremony there was a reception and dance honoring the couple. Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Hoskins visited Mrs. Marilda K. Flint of Clearfield Wednesday. On Friday they visited Mrs. Clara Hoskins at the Sunshine Terrace Nursing Home in Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Ora H. John were guests of their son. Dr. Ronald John of Murray on Thursday and Friday. Mrs. E. Wynn John and daughters Mary Ann, Melonie and Julie visted with Miss Marlene John in Logan Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hoskins and children, Tamara and Blaine, of Roy were guests Sunday of Waynes parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Hoskins. Mr. and Mrs. Jedd Ricks of Benson were guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. E. Wynn John and family. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell C. Hall visited in Ogden Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Don Bowen and family of Duggan Allen. Devere Harris sponsored a business meeting and luncheon in Logan Monday. Clarence Hurlbut, president of National Public Insurance Co., was those in attendance. Ila Mae John, Leona Williams and Kay Williams visited with Bonnie Johnson in Ogden Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nielsen hosted a family dinner party at the Maddox Ranch House Sunday afternoon in celebraton of the birthday anniversaries of Mrs. Owen Nielsen and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nielsen of Garland. Others present were Scott, and Natalie Nielsen, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Cannon and sons Darren, Dustin and Cortney of North Ogden. The Cannon boys had spent the weekend with their grandparents and joined their parents at Maddoxs.
