A rehearsal dinner honoring the couple was held at Maddox Ranch house before the wedding ceremony, and the couple greeted guests at a reception immediately following the ceremony. The two offices of memory are collection and distribution. Johnson. When it comes to memories I dont suppose anyone has more than a mother. She has all those of her children and on top of that, those of her childhood and mother. Mothers Day is a reminder of both. Ive been sitting here this morning looking at a lilac bush in the neighbors back yard, and I am reminded of all the Mother's Day cards I made as a kid and painstakingly outlined the word mother" with little petals with a pin stuck through them. We made them on Friday and by Sunday they were a wilted sorry lot, but mother always acted as if they were just beautiful. Then there were all those childish verses I made up. I sometimes wonder what I would have done if May and Mothers day hadnt rhymed. I have a box tucked away with some my own kids have made. Have you ever wondered where mothers learn all the things they tell their daughters not to do? Wedding Gown For her wedding and reception the bride wore a floorlength gown of white nylon organza with lace trim. It was styled with a fitted bodice, long lace sleeves, and ruffled hemline. Her waistlength veil of illusion was edged in matching lace. She carried a bouquet of blue and white daisies nestled into babys breath and greenery. Matron of honor was the brides sister Patricia Whitlock, and Carla Jensen was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Olsen, Shelley Russell, Sherri Nelson and Perianne Garn. They wore gowns of blue dotted Swiss styled with empire waists and carried daisies. Flower girls Heidi Ann Whitlock and Jennifer Fitton were similarly gowned. BRIDE is Miss Julie Petersen who exchanged vows with Russell Garn in early April at a ceremony performed at the Petersen chapel. A RECENT ' Attend Groom The bridegroom chose his brother Jeff Garn as his best man. Usher was Dennis Petersen. Hosts and hostesses at the reception were Mr. and Mrs. John Fitton and Mr. and Mrs. Steven Yates. Elizabeth Reese was seated at the guest book. Centering the bridal table was a lovely three tiered cake decorated with lacy white icing and blue daisies. Those in charge of serving were Joni Clemments, Lisa Baddley, Sherri Nielsen, Marion Stoddard, Debra Stallings, Nancy Nielsen, and Connie Knudsen. Gifts were taken care of by Debra Gibbons, Marty Petersen, Karen Johnson. Giftbear-er- s were Jason Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Stuart Fitton, Steven Gibbons and Joshua Petersen. Prenuptial parties honoring the bride were hosted by Mary Rees and Elizabeth Reese, Carla Jensen, Sherrie Nelson, Michelle Olsen and Marion Dunn. Following a honeymoon at Snowbird, the couple will make their home in Brigham City. The bridegroom will attend Utah State University in the fall. Just remembers, all you young mothers, theres nothing like the joy of motherhood, especially when all the kids are in bed. And dont forget a mothers work is never done. And just about the time you think it is you become a grand- mother. Felica Hemans said it best: There is in all this cold and hollow world no fount of deep strong deathless love save that within a mothers heart. Now if youll pull up that old easy chair we can have our Party Line chat, straight from the heart.
