The couple recited vows in a hifch noon mass at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. A reception was held at Sacramento Inn following the wedJing. The couple have both been living in Sacramento where the bride has been teaching and the bridegroom employed as an engineer. Hi is a son of Mrs. Milka Smilanich Smil-anich of Highland Boy, Bingham Canyon, and a graduate of the University of Utah. His bride, a graduate of Sacramento State College, Col-lege, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Gualco, Turlock, Calif. For her wedding the bride chose a gown of Chantilly lace and tulle over taffeta with a Sabrina neckline neck-line festooned with sequins and Apostles officiated. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Howard Harker and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Jacobson, both of Copperton, Bingham Canyon. The Doll House was setting for a wedding breakfast following the ceremony that honored the couple Riven by the bridegroom's parents. In the evening they were further honored at a reception in the LDS Church at Copperton. For the event the bride wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle. Tho scalloped neckline was embroidered with luster pearls and iridescent sequins. se-quins. Tiers of gathered lace and tulle fashioned the bouffant skirt. A liny crown of matching lace, embroidered with sequins and pearls secured her fingertip veil of sheerest illusion. She carried a bouquet of pink roses. Attending the bride were Miss Colleen Marker, a sister, as maid of honor, and Miss Nancy Crellin, Miss Claudia Murano, Miss Peggy Clake and Mrs. Russell Goldberg, bridesmaids. Their dresses were pink and lavender brocaded satin fashioned with bell shaped skirts. They carried bouquets of lavender carnations. Dave Jacobson was best man for pearls. 1 he bouHant skirt was fashioned of five tiers of ruffled lace ending in a cathedral sweep. A bubble of English silk illusion veiling was secured by a double crown of crystals and pearls. The bride's flowers were small orchids and stephanotis. The newlyweds honeymooned in Las Vegas, Nev., and Southern California before returning to Sacramento to establish their home. JONES-WRIGHT WEDDING The home of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Dew-ey D. Wright in Copperton was the nuptial setting on Saturday, August Aug-ust 6, for a double ring ceremony uniting in marriage, their son, Gene Wright and Miss Judy Anne Jones of Salt Lake City. First Counselor Gordon Bodily ed a shower at the home of Mrs. J. L. Thomson in Salt Lake City given in honor of Miss Marlene Bluck who will be wed to Lee Ras-innssen Ras-innssen on Sept. 7 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Rasmussen is a nephew of Mrs. Johnson. Henry Menna, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Menna, returned home last Saturday from a two months' stay with his grandfather, Robert Oieida and an uncle, Louie Oneida cf Jerome, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Gail Farnewortb. and grandchildren, Gail and Gary, spent the week end at Brighton visiting vis-iting with Mr. and Mrs. David Farnsworth and family. Mrs. Maurine Nielson, Tatsy and Carol, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nielsen, Royce, Gary and Clifford and Mr. and Mrs. David Dimmick, Wayne, Sue Ann and Jana, attended and enjoyed the production of "Promised "Prom-ised Valley" at West Jordan Jr. High School Monday night. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Nichols returned re-turned home Monday from a week end visit with Mrs. Nichols' brother, bro-ther, Tom and Bert Allred of Ely, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Ned Chestnut had a birthday dinner for Mrs. Chestnut's Chest-nut's mother, Mrs. Mildred Mitchell, Mitch-ell, Sunday evening. Dr. and Mrs: William Prujch and family of Rock Springs, Wyo., are visiting with Mrs. Evelyn Fontana and family, Mrs. Prujch, a sister of Mrs. Fontana, will be remembered as the former Idele Klonizos, formerly for-merly of Bingham. Billy Fontana celebrated his sixth birthday last Saturday with family and friends. Visitors of Mr, and Mrs. Walter Murray have been their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Whitman, Claudie and Richard of Richmond, Calif. While here they also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ned Jones and family of Kearns. Dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mro. Wm. D. Nielsen were Mrs. Maggie Peck, I Ir. and Mrs. Bert Peck and family of Kearns, Mr. and Mrs. Paul La-Bounty La-Bounty and family of Lead Mine and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Prigmore and family of Murray. Monday Mr. and Mrs. Wm. D. Nielsen motored to Midvale to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Stickney and family, and later motored to Kearns to visit their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Gara-hana Gara-hana and family. Last week Mrs. Arthur Bentley visited with her daughter, Mrs. Orley Bills and family of Midvale. Later Mrs. Bentley, Mrs. Bills and daughter, Sherry Lynn went to visit Mr. and Mrs. Peter Padgen and family also of Midvale. Mrs. Maurine Nielson and Patsy visited with Mrs. Donna Bell and family of Sandy Tuesday evening. Mike Loverich of Highland Boy is visiting with his sister and brother bro-ther in law, Mr. and Mrs. George Piedmont at Vantage, Wash. Joe Loverich just recently . returned from a visit with them. |
