Show WOMEN'S CIVIC CLUB BIRTHDAY DINNERPLANNED Because the national government govern-ment now provides generously for girls desiring to enter the nursing profession, Women's Civic Ci-vic club will discontinue the $250 scholarship annually granted a senior girl from Bingham high school, it was decided at the February 3 meeting held at the home of Mrs. K. L. Isbell of Copperton. Cop-perton. The high school's 1944 graduates gradu-ates who are interested in making mak-ing application for nursing scholarships schol-arships are invited to contact Mrs. Carl A. Curtis of Copper-ton, Copper-ton, club committee chairman, for information on the nurses' training program. Bingham Community Chest has notified the members of Women's Wo-men's Civic club that support will be given the following projects: pro-jects: $125 to complete the 1943 nurse's scholarship; $250 for gifts to selective service inductees; $25 for Thanksgiving baskets and $185 for the summer playground. play-ground. On motion of Mrs. Wilford II. Harris, it was decided to contact each member for a 50 cents donation do-nation toward purchase of a $50 war bond for the club. Mrs. Don Reid, president, announced an-nounced appointment of Mrs. Harris as chairman of the committee com-mittee to nominate officers for the coming year. A letter from Salt Lake county coun-ty library committee, asking settlement set-tlement of the question of ownership own-ership of furniture in the city hall branch library, was read. Records Re-cords of the club treasurers were produced to show that all furniture furni-ture was purchased and payments pay-ments made by the club. Until the library was taken over by the county, Bingham city made the club a regular monthly allowance al-lowance to aid in its support. Mrs. S. T. Nerdin of the library committee was named on the committee to investigate feasibility feasi-bility of storing the furniture until the time the club might need for furnishing club rooms. Celebration of the club birthday birth-day on February 16, which will commemorate the 22nd anniversary anni-versary of the founding, will be made at a dinner to be held at Bingham Community church at 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 16.
