You have to have nothing but admiration for a guy like Doug, said head coach Chick Hislop. Coach Hislop further stated, Heading into our first meet, we realized that we were behind the DDwntiatiniM) rest of the conference so we worked right through the week and worked very hard to prepare for last Saturday. I figured we were anywhere from 15 to 25 seconds better per man in our performances. I was very happy with the production that we got out of the team. I feel that Doug Friedli' and Byron Appell (who finished 10th) came the closest to their capabilities. I was very proud of Clark Roberts, who was our sixth man. Clark was a walk-o- n and showed a lot of potential." The teams next meet will be in Salt Lake City this Saturday with all of Utahs major schools involved in an invitational.
