NOTICE I George Jefferson, Republican coun-: coun-: ty. chairman, has received calls for j Republican conventions from the I chairmen of both state and congressional congres-sional district organizations. From ' these notices, which are reproduced below, it will be seen that Beaver ' county is entitled to eight delegates: for each convention. The apportion-j pient is based on the number of Cool- j idge votes cast in Beaver county at the last election, one delegate allowed for each 125 votes. Then the apportionment appor-tionment for each precinct in thej county will be worked, out on the same principle, according to Mr. Jefferson. By this division, Beaver would be entitled en-titled to 3 delegates, Mjlford 2, Min-ersville Min-ersville 2, and other precincts, 1. This will be estimated' more closely, and final apportionment made soorvMr. Jefferson said. Below are the notices to county chairmen ; Call for Republican Convention of the First Congressional District of the j State of Utah ' To the Republican Voters of the First Congressional District of the State of Utah: A Republican congressional convention conven-tion of the First Congressional District Dis-trict of the State of Utah is hereby called to , meet at Hotel Utah, Salt Lake City, 4tah, at 3 o'clock p. m., Friday, May. 4, 1928, for the purpose of electing: Two delegates at large from the First Congressional District of the State of Utah to the Republican Na-. tional Convention, which will be held at Kansas City, Mo., at 11 o'clock a. m Tuesday, June 12, 1928, which will place in nomination candidates for President and Vice President to be voted for atfthe Presidential Election Elec-tion on Tuesday, November 6, 1928. Two alternate delegate from the First Congressional District of the State of Utah to the said National Convention. And for the transaction . of such other business as may properly come before the Convention. Said Congressional convention shall consist of three hundred and seventeen seven-teen (317) delegates based upon an apportionment of one delegate for each hundred and twenty-five (125) votes or major fraction thereof cast for the Hon Lyman Skeen for Presidential Presi-dential Elector, November 4, 1924. , Upon this apportionment each county coun-ty will have representation as follows: fol-lows: Beaver, 8; Box Elder, 25; Cache, 40; Carbon, 15; Dagget, 1; Duchesne, 10; Emery, 8; Garfield, 7; Grand, 2; Iron, 11; Juab, 11; Kane, 4; Millard 15; Morgan, 4; Piute, 3; Rich, 3; San Juan, 3; Sanpete, 27; Sevier, 17; Summit, 13; Uintah, 10; Wasatch, 9; Washington, 9; Wayne, 3; Weber, , 59.
