The new daughter of Wayne and Carol Bettrldge, Kather-ina Kather-ina Bettrldge, was blessed Sunday during LDS Church services by her grandfather, Morris Allman. Kenny Patterson celebrated celebrat-ed his 11th birthday on Mar. 27th with his family. Kenneth Patterson was In Salt Lake City one day last week on business. He also spent Monday in Cedar City on business. Paul and Myrle Potter of Minersville were here visiting visit-ing their daughters and families, fam-ilies, Kenneth and Jolene Patterson and David and Sharon Myers, over the Easter holiday. Dennis Miller, Phil Miller Mil-ler and George Sears spent the weekend at Lake Powell fishing. The new son of Dennis and Maxlne Cox, Aaron William Cox, was blessed Sunday afternoon aft-ernoon during LDS Church services by his father. Several Sev-eral relatives enjoyed a turkey tur-key dinner at the Cox home to celebrate the occasion . Sean Wilson celebrated his 8th birthday Saturday, Mjr 29th. Sunday the Wilsons spent most of the day in g( George and surrounding area sightseeing. Mr. and Mrs. BenBrisc6e spent a week with their son. in-law and daughter, Bob and Doris Baker, on their ranch near Cambridge, Idaho and also attended their farm machinery sale. Bob and Doris will spend the next two years in Alaska, where Bob will be employed as an electrical supervisor on the Alaskan pipeline fromPrud. hoe Bay to Valdez. Other weekend visitors at the Baker Bak-er home were their three daughters and families, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Klghtllnger and Robert, Carson City Nev.; Gary VanKoman, Kim' Thron and Troy; and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Watson, Twin Falls, Idaho; also Bob's mo-ther mo-ther and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dix and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Kidd, Sumpter, Oregon. The Briscoes also called on former Milford residents, John and Dorothy Stahl, Weiser, Idaho and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Horton, Nam-pa, Nam-pa, Idaho. They report Mar. vin is recuperating at home following a heart attack and Lorraine is having to hold a tight rein because Marvin's beautiful roses are needing a little work and no one can care for them like he can, recently. Chad Barton of Las Vegas was a visitor at the home of his sister and husband, Leo and Christine Finch, Wednesday Wed-nesday through Saturday. He visited with friends and relatives rela-tives In the area while here. He made the round trip with his grandfather, Cecil Stewart. Stew-art. Clinton and Jame Myers were recent visitors in Salt Lake City. They stayed at the home of their granddaughter, grand-daughter, Rick and Diana Berger and family. While there they visited with their daughter and granddaughter, Gloria and Maryan Slinkerd. They also attended the Mormon Mor-mon Tabernacle Choir on Temple Square. They were also able to visit their son, Stanley Limb of Salt Lake City and their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Darwin (Hilda) Gil-ger Gil-ger and Kathy of Moab. Mr. and Mrs. Myers returned home Tuesday, Mar. 25. Mrs. Kay Banks and daughter Mari Jane were in Cedar City Friday and Monday Mon-day on business. Accompanying Accompa-nying them on Monday were Mr. and Mrs. James Hol-lingshead Hol-lingshead and Mildred Moody. Sunday afternoon Kay and Marian Banks, daughter Marl Jane, and foster son, Donald Livingston, drove to St. George so Donald could visit with his sister, Patricia Pa-tricia Jarvison, who is a foster daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Holyoaks. Mrs. Kerry Solomon and two sisters of McGill, Nev. drove her husband Brent to Milford so he and Kay Banks could go to work at Las Vegas. Nev. with Danean's brother and family, Heber and Kathleen Kath-leen Davis. Mr. and Mrs. Don Bridge celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary Monday, March 31st. Spending Monday, Mar. 24, at the home of their daughter daugh-ter and family, Larry and Geraldlne Barnes, were Melvin and Drucllla Brad-, shaw. They celebrated the birthdays of Rober, Robert, and Larry Bradshaw. Twenty-five family members mem-bers were present. Fruit cocktail, banana bread, pop and punch were served. The family also was together on Easter Sunday for picnlclng. The new daughter of Robert Rob-ert and Anna Lee Andrus, Michelle Lee Andrus, was blessed by her father Sunday Sun-day during church services. Lela Gilliam accompanied her daughter and husband, Clive and Manaun Foster of Cedar City, to Las Vegas, Nev. to spend Easter with her children and grandchildren, grandchild-ren, Sid and Audrey Wood-lock Wood-lock and children, and Fred and Adella Gilliam and family. fam-ily. She also visited other relatives while there. Mr. C. D. Gilliam was also in the area working. W. P . and Marian Miller were in Hermosa Beach, Calif, to visit their son, Steven Miller, for a few days last week. The new son of Clark and Ileene Grimshaw, Jared La-Mar La-Mar Grlmshaw, was blessed by his great -Aincle, Leon Jones, Sunday at the LDS services. Margaret Grim-shaw's Grim-shaw's children and their families were all home over thelEasjreetendtaclud- Kenneth Nielson, grandson grand-son of Mr. and Mrs. Lovell Crane, and friend Sheila Gardner, spent Easter weekend week-end here visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Patterson Patter-son returned Friday from a two -week trip in Calif. They visited friends and relatives in Bakersfield, El Segiindo, Inglewood, Escondido, San Diego, and the AnzaBorrega Desert. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Hughes, Valorle, MIlo, and Roger of Pocatello spent the Easter weekend with his mother, mo-ther, Mrs. Naomi Hughes. Dorothy Morris spent two weeks in Rldgecrest, Calif, visiting her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Randy Morris. Dave joined her last week and they came home on Tuesday. Tues-day. Mrs. Jessie Williams and Mrs. Dorothy Morris spent Friday in St. George at a wedding reception for their nephew. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Keetch traveled to Las Vegas Veg-as last Wednesday to pick up their grandchildren, Kelly Kel-ly and Lynda, children of Mr. and Mrs. Max Keetch. They returned to Milford for Easter and back home for school. Spending last Saturday at Beaver Dam in Arizona were Mr. and Mrs. Dan Baudino and Donald, Mr. and Mrs. Raeldon Baudino and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nielsen and family, Donna Craw and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Carter and family, Mr. and Mrs. James Hollingshead. They all met here at Dan's home and traveled together in four cars. Dan reported the day was nice and warm ' and they all enjoyed the outing. out-ing. Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Nichols attended the spring concert of the BYU Acapella Choir at Provo recently. They spent the night with Rodnie and attended church meetings meet-ings with him on Sunday. He was invited to speak in the BYU branch. Mr. and Mrs. Ariel Nichols Nich-ols of Washington, Utah were recent visitors at the home of S. W. Nichols. They report the growth of Washington in the past four years as tremendous. tre-mendous. Jack and Norma Holllene of Tooele spent a few hours with Bill and Edna Nichols Donald and Vickie Towne and son B. J. of Ruth, Nev. visited last Thursday and Friday with friends, Fred and Hilda O'Leary. Ben Gore of Provo was a weekend guest at the home of a friend, John Horlacher. While here he and John attended at-tended several of the Youth Conference meetings. Prin. David R Horlacher accompanied Dr. Wayne Crook, Supt. Lynn Haslem and Beaver Principal Al Marshall to Salt Lake City Mar. 25 and 26 where they, along with Elementary Prin. Jim Briggs, attended Administration Admin-istration Conference meetings. meet-ings. Donald Earl Barton was baptised Into the LDS Church Friday evening by his father, Donald Ray Barton. The family fam-ily attended the baptism and on Sunday, Bishop Albrecht confirmed Donald Earl a member of the church.
