The final score was just about the largest spread between be-tween the two teams, that will meet at least one more time In regular season, and most likely will meet also In the Region Eight Tournament and hopefully again In the State Class A Basketball Tournament. Rated as probably two of the top contenders, along with Beaver, the two clubs looked a little ragged, but showed promise. Garland Tait, Mllford's All-State running back, showed he could switch from packing a pigskin to shooting one, and was high point with 18. Jimmy Raines andRussell Smith were bunched together with Kanab's MVP with 13, to lead the scoring. The football champion Cowboys showed more ragged rag-ged edges with a week less practice, and undoubtedly will be much tougher In later lat-er games. Mllford's outside shooting made the difference as the Cowboy big three, of Chamberlain, Cham-berlain, Janes, and Johnson, scored 29 points to 24 for Mayer, Jones, and Raines. The Tigers hit 40 from the field to 35 for the Cowboys. Cow-boys. They also picked up 17 of 25 from the foul line for 68 to lead Kanab's 61 and 11 for 18. Raines also had three blocked shots.
