Show OBITUARY Gladys Yard ley Oakden Gladys Oakden, age 79, died May 23, 1976 of natural causes in a Cedar City rest home. She was born September Septem-ber 10, 1896 in Beaver to William Edward and Jane Elizabeth Gower Yardley. She married Charles Stanley Oakden, February 4, 1920 in Beaver. She was a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries and a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Nancy K Camp. Mrs. Oakden was an active member of the LDS Church, having served as Primary President during the years of 1942-46. She is survived by her hus -band Stanley of Beaver; five sons, Charles Stanley, Jr., Portland, Ore., Donal Ray, Salt LakeCity, Utah, Richard R., Beaver, William E., Las Vegas, Nev., and John Robert, Rob-ert, Sandy, Utah; 20 grandchildren; grand-children; 7 great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Mrs. Bell White, Kennewick, Washington. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 26, 1976 at 1:00 p.m. in the Beaver 2nd Ward LDS Chapel. Chap-el. Burial was in the Mt. View Cemetery, Beaver, under the direction of the Metcalf Campbell Mortuary. |
