Show George Alfred Horton, age 78, died April 29, 1980 in the Mllford Hospital. He was born August 24, 1901 In Greenville, Utah to John Alma and Harriett Ann Heslington Horton. Married Mar-ried Macel Augusta Rogers July 3, 1926, in Mllford. Their marriage was solemnized sol-emnized Feb. 3, 1951 in the St. George Temple. Mr. Horton was a lifetime life-time resident of Beaver County. He attended Mur-dock Mur-dock Academy. Served In the Greenville Bishopric for 4 years, 2 as Bishop. Served a mission for the LDS church in England and the Western States. Was employed by the UP Railroad Rail-road as a conductor for 40 years. Retired in 1967. Along with his work he farmed and ranched. He enjoyed gardening, winning many awards for his produce. pro-duce. Survivors: Wife, Beaver; Bea-ver; 4 sons: Marvin, Nam -pa, Idaho; George A., Jr. and W. Richard, both of Salt Lake City; Donald E., Pomona, California. 1 brother bro-ther and 1 sister, Richard C. and Mrs. Klmmel 'Myrtle' 'Myr-tle' Coon, both of Mllford. Services were held May 3, 1980 In the Beaver 4th Ward Chapel. Interment in the Mt. View Cemetery In Beaver under the direction of the Metcalf Campbell Mortuawc |
