Show OBITUARIES TONY TALANCON Antonio Talancon, 64, former Mill'ord residont) died May 19 in a Los Angeles hospital after a short illness. He was born May 10, 1902, in Mexico, to Fortunate and Mercedes Cardero Talancon. He married Kate Bridges April Ap-ril 2, 1932, in Las Vegas. He had been employed by the Union Pacific Railroad for 33 years. Surviving are his widow; four daughetrs, Mrs. Ed (Ruth) Jones, Hayfork, Calif.; Mrs. Dwaine (Thelma) Sinnen, Linda Lin-da Vista, Calif.; Mrs. David (Ellen) Jenson, Cedar City; and Mrs. Carl (Dorothy) Bick-nell, Bick-nell, Boulder City, Nev.; also 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Monday in Cedar City. ANDY HOLLINGSHEAD Andrew Jackson Hollings-hcad, Hollings-hcad, t!3, long-time Minersville resident, died Tuesday of causes caus-es incident to age, in the Mil-ford Mil-ford Valley Memorial Hospital. He was born Oct. 3. 1882, in Minersville, to Nelson Stoyl? and Elizabeth Evans Hollings-head. Hollings-head. He married Lois Roberts Rob-erts Nov. 12. 1902, in the St. George LDS Temple. He had been a miner and a stockman. Surviving are his widow; the following sons, Nolan, Salt Lake; Arshell, Beaver; Keith, Minersville; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Joy) Kirk, Reseda, Cal.; 16 grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Saturday in the Minersville Min-ersville LDS Chapel. A. CARLOS MURDOCK Abram Carlos Murdock, 53, Beaver businessman and community com-munity leader, -died Saturday at the home of a son in Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, after a heart attack. at-tack. He was- a former Beaver Stake President, and had served serv-ed in the bishopric of the Beaver East Ward and the Cedar City First Ward. He was chairman of the church welfare program in Beaver. A former member of the Beaver City Council, Mr. Murdock Mur-dock was a member of the Board of Education and the Beaver City Hospital Board. He was distributor for Phillips Phil-lips Petroleum Co. in Beaver and Iron Counties. . Mr. Murdock was born May lt 1913, in Beaver, to .George C. and Kate Hatch Murdock. He married Lucille Ashman May 25, 1932, in the St. George LDS Temple. Surviving are his widow; four sons, Dr. Carlos Dale, Pleasant Grove; Sumner Reed, Salt Lake; Kenneth Joe, Detroit; De-troit; Harold Duane, Beaver; nine grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters: Chase H., Sumner F. and Mrs. Carol Smith, Beaver; Mrs. Kathryn Heiser, Freeport, 111.; and Mrs. Mae Carter, Provo. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Tuesday in Beaver. |
